Re: Apple vs Dell (Or PC)
Apple always has the newest cool toys. But, under the shiny, there is always something that I just can't get past. So, no Mac, no iTunes (shudder), no iPod for me.
I have found Dell computers to be very easy to work on, they are usually simple and fairly well made. The place I used to work had a lot of Dells.
Personally though, I prefer white-box or homemade computers. I like to know exactly what I am getting.

Vmware rocks.
Re: Apple vs Dell (Or PC)
There won't be a significant Linux manufacturer until there's some legitimate Linux third-party developers.

can't work or jobs won't let it work?
Re: Apple vs Dell (Or PC)
I believe there would be insurmountable problems in trying to mount a MAC OS within the Windows OS structure. But I'm not a coder.
Re: Apple vs Dell (Or PC)
how long is this fucking poll going to be talked about, eh?
Re: Apple vs Dell (Or PC)
not so much a hardware debate for me, but software is an easy one.
Windows > Mac OS
easy.

Besides Windows?
I kid. I use both. I love the design of my macbook, but I use my PC more since I need it for work. I never really cared for parallels since it didn't have 64bit support when I tried, but I really like VMware Fusion.

I'm totally on Apple's dick.
