I thought it was more, stadium costs, player salaries, etc. Here in Mexico, sponsors pay for everyhting (that's why the mexican clubs have so many fucking sponsors on there jerseys)... Anyways, I was hoping that with AIG's crash Man U wouldn't have any money to pay for players... Just a pipe dream of mine...
Wow.. Gallas really did save Arsenal on that one, what a fluke of a goal... they need to get it together... they were lucky to get a draw out of that game...
Dammit Arsenal! A draw?! You're better than that.
Anyway, Coldplay scored some points with me for this:

They Pushed back the start of a show in Spain so they could watch the England v Andorra match.
Aww.. yes, Arsenal leader in the premiership, at least we can enjoy this for another week, got Hull next weekend...
I thought the Chelsea Man U game was going to end up 10 to 9 or some score like that, with all the firepower that those 2 have, it sounded like a reasonable score...
What a season to forget already for Newcastle. Relegation here we come!
More madness here.
I've decided that I want Liverpool to take it this year. I'm a fan of Torres and Keane, and I'm sick of Chelsea ad Man U. Arsenal would be my second choice of the Big 4.
Carling cup beating for Arsenal today, 6 0 against Scheffield United... Hat trick for my "Paisano"... it was a fun to watch game, but hey, as long as Arsenal is winning it's always fun to watch...
Saw the lineup. Got some good experience for some the reserves.
The average age of Arsenal's starting 11 today was 20 years old, and they ran over Seff. Love it.
And yes, Arsenal 1 Hull City 2... they rape teams like this at the champions league... so inconsistent...
Oh, and umm... bump I guess...
Hull has a few suprising results early. Very spirited play, and it is great to see that from new entries into the top flight. Wish Toon would be playing with that kind of passion. They better soon, or they are playing Championship football next season. Spurs, as well.
You've got us lot next (Everton) - without a single home win it should be an interesting 90 minutes of who can suck the most.
Oh, I think you don't need to worry. :)
Liverpool looked great today. Two gorgeous goals, one from Keane and the other from Gerrard.
Chelsea 0-0 Draw. Not a good showing for the Blues!
/\ Gerrard
They were pretty strong, Keane & Torres will be a very fun striking duo to watch all season...and I love the work Kuyt puts in
where did all the football fiends go???
lots of good stuff in the last few weeks, now we've got more CL coming this week...can't wait...
Amir Zaki on Wigan is going off in the Premiereship! leading scorer ...until Ronaldo and Torres get back in health/form that is!!
I've always thought Rooney was an underachiever, loads of talent, but lacking finishing skills....but he looks like the best player in England right now, scoring goals, passing like an incredible playmaker...guy is on fire!
glad to see Arsenal handle Everton, although half their defense was injured...Walcott is looking pretty good, and great to see Van Persie playing fairly regularly...need Ade to remember some of that scoring form from last season...gotta have a strong year so that Cesc doesn't take off for Spain yet...I love that guy, and want him to stick around for a while
Indeed. Walcott has come along quite nicely this season and Arsenal are pretty much living up to expectations.
Hull City is a nice story to this point in the season but it won't last. They've scored and conceded 11 goals. They won't be able to continue hanging around the top of the table with numbers like that.
Looking forward to CL games in the midweek, especially Madrid v. Juve.
like Cesc said, I wouldn't mind seeing one more veteran type in the midfield though...bummer to lose Kleb, Flamini, Gilberto all at once
Hull City with that 11/11 ratio won't be around long, you're absolutely right
can't wait for the CL games either, several good ones, I cleared my schedule Tues and Wed, so I can watch as many of them as I can!
Brazil just beat Spain in the FIFA World cup of Futsal.... If anyone cares..
Not a big futsal follower.
The Gunners really do need more depth in defense and midfield. When does Rosicky return?
Rosicky is a mystery....there have been rumors that his career is over...he had the hamstring problem, now it's a knee problem...
his agent tried to refute the rumors, saying everything is going fine and his rehab is on schedule, but it is really difficult to know for sure, considering the tabloid nature of much of the news surrounding footballers
great CL games again today
Rooney looks amazing right now...passing, finishing....he has never played this well in his career....Ronaldo looks like he's still hurting a bit, his form isn't quite there yet
Berbatov reminds me a little of Ruud Van Nistlerooy.....right place at the right time, scavenging a bunch of goals in the 6 yard box...whatever works
Arsenal looked great in Turkey today also...Walcott scored again, he's so damn fast, he almost overruns the ball a lot....great to see him breaking out after a few years of promise...Diaby back will help out a little with the midfield, but they could still use something else
I think they have a strong back 4 of Toure,Gallas, Clichy and Sagna, when they're all healthy...but when any of them are out, they feel a little exposed at times
That last goal by Rooney was beautiful.
