Ahh tell him to come with me! I actually carpooled with him to MBV last April... its nice to have someone come with you. And I doubt any of my friends will be into Dirty Projectors' new album enough to come all the way to LA...

You guys need to be there so I have people to talk to in line :D
You're probably right.
so the best album of the decade was Merriweather Post Pavilion, then it was Veckatimest and now it's Bitte Orca?
RE: TICKET FOR TROUBADOUR SHOW
I have an extra ticket for the 07/08/09 show @ the Troubadour. $17 ($15 face + $2 service charge). It's a will call ticket, so I'll only be able to give you the ticket on the day of - we can exchange monies then. PM me if you're interested.
EDIT: OK, THE TICKET IS TAKEN.
DP were great last night.
the sound at the venue was mind blowing. it fit them perfectly.

Listening to the new CD is like smoking stale cigarettes. I'm trying, that's all I can say.
You LA people should count your blessings.
aww I feel very bad for Montreal and Toronto DP fans...glad they are OK tho!

hope they are OK.
Jesus... that would have been horrible if one of them had died. Glad they're fine though.
Stereogum is saying this as well. This is why you shouldn't believe everything you read.
Veckatimest>Merriweather Post Pavilion>Bitte Orca (so far)
I like MMP better than Vectatimest. I don't have Bitte Orca yet and I have not dled it. I am gonna buy the LP next pay day.
MPP > Vecka > Bromst > The Eternal > Bitte Orca
Now, back to the main point of the thread...
Yeah, gotta give BO more listens before the show.
So... the Troubadour sold out... shit.
Looks like the possibility of me seeing the DPs this summer is in god's hands now.
I will pray for you pancakes
I was "eh" about this band at Bonnaroo. The female harmonies sounded really interesting, but the songs didn't really mesh well with me. I guess that's kind of the same thing I said about Grizzly Bear early on though....
Who here will be attending the show this Friday at the Birch North Park Theatre? I remember there were a few board members going. I am unfortunately going alone because all of my gay friends are going to their stupid HARD. But I am really looking forward to seeing them for the first time.
I am planning on being there. Dont have a ticket yet though.
So stoked for this weekend. :D
Also you can stand next to me if you want Ryan, so as not to be all by your lonesome.
I'll be at the North Park show. I might be going alone as well, though I bought a pair of tickets. It doesn't seem like any of my friends are interested. Would you be interested in taking it off my hands, hawking?
Perhaps. I am not sure if I will have a plus 1 or not. I guess either way I could take it. How much?
