So excited for this weekend! My gf and I are camping and I was just wondering if there was anything I should know about from experienced campers. Also, is the camp site located on a dirt parcel of land or is it grassy???
Lastly, would any kind soul arriving on Thursday be interested in holding a good spot for my small little tent? My girlfriend and I will be arriving Friday morning!!!

ya'll will do fine. camping is the best thing you could do. just make sure to be brave and meet new people. been going for four years and i still have a hard time doing that. don't be stupid like me
hmmm. The camping area is a lush and level grass field. Each camper is given a square that has been pre partitioned with spray paint... Since you are coming with someone, you will have two spots side by side, and you can lay out your tents and such as you will.
No one can save a spot for you, but it will be fine. There are no "good spots", its all relative; closer to the toilets; good or bad? Closer to the food; good if your hungry, annoying if you are sleepy... etc. etc.
Bring a cooler with snacks, and water bottles if you need to smuggle in vodka....
Bring a gallon or two of water; it is readily available but its nice to douse your self when necessary; it will be HOT HOT HOT by 8am...

Camping w/ the gf too, her first time, I've been before. We're arriving Thursday night from Phoenix.
I wouldn't have a problem trying to hold a spot for you, but they don't overbook the campsite, there's always a spot. Plus it might be harder to get two spaces together on Thurs night since most of them will be gone Thurs morn/afternoon.

So do you get an 8x8 space for each person in your party? I have a large 8 man tent that fits four people comfortably. There are four people in my group. Is there enough space for this?
