Preview of HTDA live show
Yeah, if you have a slight interest in seeing them at coschella on Friday, just do it. Don't watch that video above or pictures online or come in this thread. Just go to the Mojave at midnight. It was real great. Kbai.
Supre, your video Parasite was used by Pitchfork.
That show last night was completely beyond all expectations! Some of the most innovative use of lighting and visuals I have ever seen, and all done in a very simple way without any crazy complicated rigging or anything. just really good design and really smartly done, and so well integrated into the songs themselves. These guys could show everybody a thing or two about creating a really good looking show. Beyond that, the band sounded amazing - the music really thumps in a live setting and it seems like they've changed the arrangements somewhat. Mariqueen's voice sounds much, much stronger than i ever would have expected, and trent sings a lot more than i would have expected. Overall, an absolutely amazing show, possibly my favorite of the year so far!

Made a playlist for last night.
Yeah, HTDA is the real deal. Damn, was that amazing last night. Glad I got the chance to see that...wonder if it will be a once-in-a-lifetime deal now that NIN is back. Anyway...go check them out this weekend if you're going to WE2.
You mean again? And theyre playing voodoo in october.
**WARNING: NSFW EXTREME VIOLENT AND SEXUAL CONTENT**
Twenty years ago, Peter Christopherson directed the "Broken" movie, a short film that collected NIN's videos from the Broken EP as a "snuff" film. It was never officially released due to its graphic content, but was leaked in the 90s and became a widely-traded VHS bootleg. Watch the "Broken" movie in its entirety:
I was soooo excited when my friends and I got a copy of that bootleg back around that time. it really is something else.
I got a VHS copy in the 90s at some shop in Chicago. I was probably 15 at the time, and the guy at the register needed to have my mom pay for it heh. It was a mostly complete Self Destruct tour show with Broken at the end of it. So I'm like, it's just a concert! Classic mom response: What do they do, have sex on stage?
I think my copy was missing the entire Help Me I Am In Hell video (but the music played), and the very end with the guy's head flying by was also cut out. I think Trent's explanation for that was he only gave a few copies to friends and blacked out different parts in each one to see who was responsible if it ever leaked out.
I Have never heard of this.
Probably because you did some of the things in the videos yourself.
That would mean she was familiar with it. You have no clue what words mean anymore, do ya Supre?
offline and they say go pbay on their site now
I picked up a VHS copy in SB at Just Play Music about 10 years ago. Its pretty lame in my opinion. just shock value bullshit.
It's still streaming on the link on Pitchfork's site.
I had already seen most of those videos - I had the Closure VHS box set - but the video for 'Gave Up' is completely different. The version on Closure is just a studio performance of the song in a house (w/Marilyn Manson helping out).
Also, the guy in the 'Happiness in Slavery' video was this guy:

Where's your award for being first? I don't see it anywhere.
Someone needs to make him an award.
Why did I have a feeling he was going to reply and say something stupid.
I, unlike Supre, have not been exploring that for years. I had not heard of it until your posting of it right now. Thank you for sharing that with us.
