I'm excited for another year in the sun. The big thing from me this year is how many more artsits I recognized than in years past. I need to start making an extra effort to walk around the track at night. I will need the upper advantage to walk back and forth from the main stage to the dance tent.
The lineup for the Sasquatch Music Festival isn't officially announced till next month, but they're headliner alone (The Cure for a 2.5 hour set) excites me more than Coachella as a whole, and that shocks me.
My opinion:
Worst line-up, to-date.
Jack Johnson even ON the bill is ridiculous, let alone a headliner.
There are a handful of decent bands/acts playing, but you can catch them at seperate more intimate shows for cheap.
Goldenvoice, Pasqual, whoever is running things this year: YOU FUCKED UP!
TICKET PRICES ARE NOT WORTH ATTENDING THIS YEAR!!!!

kind of ridiculous people think the lineup for east coast fest is already better and only radiohead are confirmed. Does that mean, one solo performance of radiohead at coachella would be better that this lineup?Quote:

all together, the lineup isn't worth spending so much $$$ and time...
there is people like me, who is traveling all the way from FL, skipping school and asking for some days off at work... but for this crappy lineup it is not WORTH it at all!

i think people will warm up to rw! heairng dark side in the coachella desert will be epic. u have to remember roger, even though is considerd a huge prick at times, is a visual genius and will bring out all the bells and whistles for this show.. that is a great way to end the festival.

jj? well, i could see him performing at 7pm at the outdorr theatre but not closing the main stage. peole will be either leaving or going to watch other bands..
so just cuz we are talking only about the headliners, my grade is:
jack johnson grade: D
Portishead grade: B
Roger waters grade: A
if it was a gpa, they get a 2.66.

I think the problem w/ Waters is that he played SoCal (I believe) FIVE TIMES last year!
he played 3 nights @ the Hollywood Bowl in the beginning of the year, then came back in October & played the Bowl AGAIN, & also played Irvine.
Everytime it was this exact same set.
I really would like to see him trinkle in some other classics.

Its not always about the headliners, but this is completely fucked up in anyway you look at it. I have been going to Coachella for the past six years and to have this line-up, un freakin believable.
Im from Santa Barbara, so i cant really hate on jack johnson, but why in the FUCK is he above the Raconteurs? Jack white simply rocks my nuts off, and hes below Jack "Curious George Soundtrack" Johnson? Does not compute...
Oh and tickets are now $269 (not counting ticketmaster rape fees)...gah!
