Peter Gabriel at the Santa Barbara Bowl tonight - show of the year for me. And John Cusack was there. With Cameron Crowe.
I'd be more impressed if Kate Bush turned up.
So, whats the deal with this Sufjan tour. Is he JUST playing Christmas songs or what?
I bet he will play a couple of other songs. Probably nothing off age of adz.

Ooh I love Christmas songs. :) I don't recall there being a Phoenix date though.
Looks like Tucson is the only AZ date for Sufjan's Christmas show.
Interesting what will call/paperless for GA Floor results in for arena shows. The floor at Black Keys at Staples was empty. Could leave and come back and be 10 feet from the stage. Muse was easy too
I'm not sure how it being will call/paperless has anything to do with how many people are on the floor at a show. I feel like you think it has something to do with deterring scalping, but considering the show was sold out, don't you think the floor tickets would have all been sold too? I don't know what logic is being used here. I was surprised at the crowd on the floor during Black keys too, but I assumed it was a capacity cap.
Anyone listen to the Miguel album that came out recently? People have been going ape (you big gorilla) over it. He's touring, and I remember him being pretty good at Coachella:

Oh My Rockness is another great resource for upcoming shows, they also have support for upcoming New York and Chicago gigs.
David Byrne/St Vincent was fabulous. They're terrific together... what a fun fun show! Full horn section was absolutely great. Plus, they had a theremin(!).
This and Peter Gabriel on Monday has made for a really good week. :)
i kind of want to go to the david byrne/st vincent show if i'm not going to scary farm on fri. get one of the cheap seats. i know only talking heads hits and that st vincent sounded kinda cool at coachella.
so, yeah...Grizzly Bear...unreal. All the new songs were amazing. sound was perfect from the rail. probably one of the best shows of the year for me.
Agreed! Grizzly Bear were fanfuckintastic! Really surprised me.
