The LCD Soundsystem movie is tomorrow at the Valley Art, right? Who all is going? I might just pick up a ticket at the door...
Fun Comedy show right now at the Arpaio press conference:

I might be interested in meeting up for dinner/drinks depending on time and location. I am not going to the movie though.
Birther press conference is hilarious. Think "Blame Hawaii". They are claiming that no Hawaiian birth certificate can be proven real.
I went to brauthaus today. Had the rabbit and sorta enjoyed it. Had a nice beer and the fries were good. Also, the owner(I'm assuming) came over and chatted with us for a minute. Asked where we were from and seemed a little disappointed when we told him Canada. I guess he was hoping for some locals for return business. Also he asked us how we had heard of the place and I wasn't really sure how to explain so I just said a friend of a friend, which is kinda true. I guess?
I just checked the Harkins website and noticed there is a 7:00pm showing and a 9:25pm showing of Shut Up and Play the Hits. Is everyone going at 7? I guess it doesn't matter a hell of a lot except I don't know when people are planning to eat/socialize.
We're going to the 7pm showing. Think that one's sold out, according to Micah.
And since nobody responded, we're just gonna eat at Robbie Fox's if anyone wants to join us.
If by some miracle I can get off of work in time, I'm going. I'm coming from North Scottsdale and work is really hectic right now...
I am broke this week, I am drinking cheap beer and grilling chicken by the pool instead. Have a great time everyone! :)
If the fact that I can't buy advanced tickets on Harkins website means it is sold out, then I guess it is sold out. I'm out!
Went to the 9:25 showing of Shut Up and Play The Hits last night. Great doc. Brought back a lot of great memories of seeing LCD back in 2010 (Coachella, Pomona, & Bonnaroo). Ran into Jason and his crew as they were leaving the earlier show.
I noticed that Amy is going to Outside Lands. I will be there also with my cuz from Sacramento. Any other Phoenix boardies going?
I will be there, Mix Master Micah. I'm pretty fucking excited.
Mark and Jason are going.
Nice!
We should find a set or beer/wine garden time to have a phx meet up!
Has Phoenix always had haboob's happen this frequently? I don't have a distinct memory of any happening while I was growing up. Is it something I've just been oblivious to? Even as recent as maybe five years ago, I don't recall this ever happening. Not just the frequency, but the haboob's in general. Growing up here, it seems like I'd have the image embedded in brain from an early age.
It hasn't happened much in the last five years, but I remember this haboob frequency happening every summer growing up.
Has anyone been to the address brewery in Tuscon because that place seems great .Also Bell's brewery which is amazing is available in AZ but not CA which is strange.
I've never even heard of it.
I remember big dust storms years ago, but I never remember them being called haboobs until now.
i don't know why the fuck everyone calls them haboobs now, but we have always had monsoon summers with big dust storms. we just used to get more rain with them. i grew up way far west when it was still the sticks. we'd lose power and set-up chairs in the garage to watch the storm. sometimes the winds were so strong, you couldn't even get out of your car. once my grandpa and i had to just sit in the driveway and wait for it to pass before going in the house.
and zack, message me when you kknow about your trip!!! i have a couch if you need it :)
I've never heard of the "Address Brewery" and I've lived in Tucson for a while.
I bet he's thinking of "Nimbus".
I think haboob is funny. That's why I use it.
It's real, but apparently very confusingly named.
