    Option 1:

    Take the Newark Airport AirTran (above-ground airport tram) from your terminal to the Newark Airport Rail Station. Transfer to the next New Jersey Transit Coast Line train service to Asbury Park (72 minutes, $16.50). Trains run once per hour, or twice per hour during rush hour, but you may have to transfer at Long Branch if you don’t take a train that goes all the way to Asbury Park. Walk or catch a taxi or bus from the Asbury Park train station to your hotel (the Empress is approximately 0.8 miles, the Berkeley is 1.5 miles).
