Okay we have a where have you lived for more than 6 months thread. How about a favorite place you've lived one. Let's go with the same rules just for consistency, anywhere you've been for 6+ months.

For me, East Bay, CA. That place is like heaven.

Irvine, CA

I'm in the minority when I say I love Irvine. Everyone who grew up there fucking hates that sand trap. Strange thing is, they're still there and I'm not. I'd like to switch places with those ungrateful twats.

That's crazy man. I've talked to people that lived there that say it's the most boring place ever. The proximity to LA and weather is probably kinda nice. I'm not really sure as I have no first hand experience of the place.

I'm loving Los Angeles for what it's giving me right now, and I plan on staying for the forseeable future. I'm allergic to most the areas north of here (literally, the plants north of this area throw me for a loop) and I can't go too much further south and still be in the US.

I like LA and the Bay Area for different reasons.

I live in Las Vegas and hate it. The best place I've lived is Westminster, CO. Tons of stuff to do in and outdoors, four seasons, and great views in every direction. Red Rocks Ampitheater is also close and great shows are always nice. Fiddler's Green is not too bad either. Hell, I just love the mountains.

Ptown...that's for Pacifica not Pleasanton or Palo Alto!!! But the past few years my allergies are really starting to kill me...

I sure wouldn't mind living in Kauai on the north shore!!!

Granted, I was in school and was able to travel, drink and party without a job, so my viewpoint may be a little skewed.

My husband of course likes the scary down hill shit, but that's why I'm getting him to go to Colorado. I hear it's some of the best scenic single track stuff. That's what I like. And damn it that's all that matters.

For scary downhill all the Ski resorts have amazing trails and views. I like winter park and Keystone.

Here is one of the best single track places in the world.

There are a ton of great places up hwy 285 just look up singletrack websites.

What do you think of Durango or Crested Butte?

We've been to Moab and Fruta, now I want some trees and wild flowers.

I think I've only see one dead seal the whole time I've lived here, oh and one dead whale but I have to say nowhere else in california can you go to the beach and find an empty one except for the one I live by...anyone of the holiday weekends in the summer you will not see anymore than 20 people on the beach...now that's what I'm talking 'bout!!!

I lived in seattle for 'bout six months...it was fun but there were always crackies in our alley loocking for the soup house!!!

Crested Butte has the Mountain biking hall of fame, and Ransom 1 used to lay down the dope beats there so yes Its a great spot. Crestte butte and Moab are like heaven on earth for mountain biking. My preference would be crestte Butte tons of trails for all levels of expierence.

Durango is okay. I think that some of the first mountain bike championships were held there. From past expierence most of the locals can be a-holes though. Its kind of like surfing the when locals claim thier spots, dont get in thier way. Plus they dont like to tell you where the good trails are.

Haha, I read "Ptown" and thought Pleasanton, which is where I lived for most of my life. Im in Santa Barbara right now for college, but definitely want to move back up to the East Bay when I graduate.

Oh, and my family has a time share at Poipu Beach in Kauai. That place is like heaven.

Wheres the beef?
