what is up with them? they took forever to start (start time was 8:35, they started at around 9:10)
and then they got cut short because of the problems it took to get them setup.
what BS
they were one of the main things i came to see, aside from rage.
the 30min set was good, but i was dissapointed.

I was very upset about this, but the songs we got were wonderful.
Anyone know who was responsible for the crazy white beach balls? I couldn't smuggle that many in with only one backpack. I did, however, throw an orange octopus-shaped beach ball up during Air, and my husband threw a big, green-striped beach ball.

I saw Paris at Girl Talk and CSS, which was fitting.
That sucked about Air. And it sucked even more because it cut Damien Rice's set in half as well. He was my #1 act that day. He only got like 5 songs, cause god knows he's not about to play against Rage.

I find it rather odd that Paris was at several sets I went to: Air, Girl Talk and CSS. Does that mean I have bad taste??

Air fucking sucked. I saw 4 songs and bailed. The beach balls during the set was pretty fucking funny, unless you were really into them. A nice booing got going when they hit the 30 minute late mark as well.
"rage against air" said one woman as she left.
and when they did start they were really lame. I cant believe I missed Manu Chao for them

If that was anybodys first time seeing Air don't be fooled. They are a fantastic live act and what we saw on Sunday was terrible.
WTF? Mostly Moon Safari songs?

Yay you were there too! I waited through Kaiser Chiefs, Placebo, and Air and got to the very front. I loved his set but I wish he could have played more songs. :(

It only makes sense to play their best stuff when short on time.

Yeah, I was sad Damien only got to do a few songs, but he rocked the ones he did play big time.
Despite the waiting/short set I actually enjoyed Air's set.

I'm mad cause I could of been watching lily allen instead. Then once I left she was done and Air had gone on, but they pissed me off too much to care anymore. I got a choice spot for ratatat. Awesome set.

Anyone know what AIR's setlist was?

Air were good but it definitely wasn't their best night--prolonged technical difficulties, shortened set time, and poor Nicolas getting hit in the face w/ that ginormous beach ball. The dude who threw it was a little behind me, and all he had to say was "My bad." They're prolly gonna be like "Eff California" after that set. I love Air but if I'd known the set was gonna turn out like that, I probably would've gone to Lily Allen's set and just remembered how kick-arse they were on tour in 2004.
Also, I was annoyed to no end at Paris Hilton being there, along with her skank-tastic friend who was dancing to the songs like she was at the club freakin' somebody.

I was glad that Air was boring because Manu Chao was the revelation of the weekend for me.
Air is great live, but I wasn't feeling it on Sunday.

Nice post for a guy named Why not smile. And the booing was for Paris Hilton and her cunt-ass friends. I hate them. There were about eight of them pushing each other to be the center of attention and get the crowd to look at them.

That new Air song sounded a lot like everyone leaving for Manu Chao.
That's all I have to contribute. See you kids in another thread.

Same here. Didn't have a clue about Manu Chao and they killed it. One of the highlights for me.

Manu Chao sucked.
what didn't you enjoy? it was a prototypical manu chao show (with a bit more of the English-y songs thrown in to please the masses).

every song sounded the same...it was 45 mins of yelling "hey" to some noisy (and not so good sounding) guitars and drums.

i think manu chao was one of the best of the weekend...but i was also surrounded by an awesome crowd...so that makes a huge difference

I saw Fountains of Wayne (after having no prior knowledge of them) while I was waiting for a good spot for Regina, and I thought they were terrible.
