Maybe they will do Detour AND another date. The demand is clearly high enough. I mean, nobody sells out the Henry Fonda in two hours. Sold out shows tend to take months for some reason (Metric, CSS, etc).
I'd honestly rather see them at the Henry Fonda than at Detour. The only good thing we've heard about the lineup so far is the rumor that Justice will play. w00t, Satellite Party, indeed. Well, hopefully there will be some good surprises.

Justice can't bring anyone together when tickets for their show were in such obscenely short supply.
Your never going to admit that Justice sold out because alot of people in Los Angeles want to see them are you? They didn't release 200 tickets for sale and keep the other thousand. They are in high demand, and hopefully for your sake I hope they add another night and/or play Detour.
Boourns
08-02-2007, 03:03 PM
Of course they are in high demand, but not that high. While people like us are going crazy over Justice, we are not the majority. For as far as others are concerned, they have one album that most stores won't sell, that didn't get a good enough score on richdork, and no radio play. A bit premature for that sort of rabid demand. Demand is high, but Arcade fire late-2004/early-2005 high? Come on.

ThomThom

Nobody said they are selling out arenas, I simply stated they were in high demand IN LOS ANGELES. People still can't seem to accept the fact that they sold out the Fonda, citing things like not releasing enough tickets or celebrities getting a hold of most of them. Besides, The Fonda isn't the biggest place either...definitely not that hard to sell out that venue.

Nice interview, and Xavier is clearly the ''frontman'' and Guspard is just chilling there. Either that or they never give him a chance to talk so he just sits there and looks pretty. And L.A. Weekly better do a spread on them when they come for Detour and the Fonda show. And its not Coachella, thats like footage from a year ago, I remember a similar clip being on their myspace before they replaced it with Coachella.

he looked like he was on acid or something. he would start looking around like he was trippin. i picture it like before hand he said to xavier: "im going to take acid when we go on this show, so you do all the talking". then xavier says "ok dude, just keep your mouth shut so you dont make an ass out of yourself on national tv." then the host tried to ask him a question, i think he asked why they chose the cross as their symbol, and and he looked like a dear in headlights and just said something to the effect of "i have no comment". hahaha.

Unfortunatley i think that is only the beginning of Justice penatrating the American media. Fuck it though, nothing more lame than someone getting butt-hurt because their favorite "underground" band is getting radio play. I hear that shit all the time from my friends. I agree, If Justice is played on MTV all the better. It will give them a broader audience and (Hopefully) open up some minds for people to look outside mainstream radio for music. There was a time when MTV was cool, Remember 120 minutes? Or AMP? I loved those shows even though they came on really late and only once a week.
Still though, I can't remember when was the last time I even saw MTV.

Scary that anyone remembers that show at all. I saw so many great videos and the crap part is I can't remember the artist or song names. But you are right in pointing out that when the pre package bands came is when the good stuff left. No time in the busy MTV schedule for real art or music. Does anyone remember a video where it is in live action and everyone was wearing this Japanese anime mask? I think the track went something like "sugar daddy, sugar daddio, look at me I'm beggin for more more more!" I loved the video and track but never got the name...damnit...

good job putting together a big rant based on a quote taken completely out of context. if you actually use some comprehension skills as you are reading my original post, you might see that when i said hes the man live, im using it in relation to his partner. im not saying hes the shit compared to all the other djs out there, just saying out of the 2 of them, he seems to do all the work when they play live. i was just trying to understand the group dynanic between them. there was no squirting of man juice from me.

oh don't you go worry'n 'bout mah comprehension skillz now. I understood exactly what you meant. Your context was not exactly difficult to grasp.
I realize you weren't calling him "the man" as far as absolute skills. I still found it hilarious that anyone would assume there was a dynamic between them where one would be the production brains and one would be the "live" strength. Again, if there's one main influence behind Justice then there's really no need for two. Either one would be perfectly capable of DJ'ing that set.
....or was there some other mind-blowingly deep context in there that I'm missing?

Santa Monica, CA (WFN) -- A woman in Santa Monica, California, is attempting to lose weight in a manner others may not be able to stomach -- an all-semen diet.
Starting December 1, a plump porn star named Kim Kelly hopes to lose between 10 and 20 pounds by spending 30 days on a diet consisting largely of semen -- or as she prefers, "man juice."
It may be hard for you to swallow but Kelly is shooting for at least six square meals a day -- with occasional pigouts.
So far, more than 800 men have offered to help Kelly with her diet and she's currently screening applicants thoroughly for STDs.
Although nutrition experts agree "man juice" is high in zinc and other nutrients, there's no officially recommended daily allowance.
Therefore, Kelly says plans to drink plenty of banana smoothies in between her regular meals because, in her words, "I'm not going to kill myself for this."

Maybe they'll get better. There's nothing wrong with them now. Nobody will claim they're bad DJ's, it just doesn't really take much to DJ like they do (which is not the same as saying it doesn't take much to make music like they do).
Their music is distictive (or at least it was before everyone started copying that sound), but it is very formulaic and dated. Mayble they'll have a long and prosperous career making the same distorted gritty basslines and choppy samples, but I hope they evolve at least a bit.
And let me state explicitly and emphatically, just so crazzz2007 is clear on this, I've never been anywhere near Justice's nuts. crazzz2007 doesn't like hyperbole.

No offense to ANYONE, but Kanye West is the complete definition of a ******. and it has absolutely NOTHING to do with his race. He is simply a filthy ****** who has way too much power to say what's on his mind, which is pointless banter. I am no Bush fan, but did any of you catch this on NBC when they did a benefit for victims of Hurricane Katrina? Mike Meyers is soooo uncomfortable to be standing next to him once he starts talking. And Chris Tucker just doesn't even know what to do with himself at the end. GREAT CLIP! Again, sorry if i offended anyone, but i just Really fucking hate Kanye West.

"So by him being rich and having an opinion makes him a filthy ******?"
No, No. not at all. there is absolutely no substance to anything that comes flying out of his mouth. Him being rich does not make him an idiot. it's just his opinions. Again, in my eyes, the N-word has no connection to skin color. When i get outraged i choose to use that word to describe anyone being a complete irrational fucking moron dick-hole, and that may seem EXTREMELY racist, which i understand. It's just how i use my slang. I'm not even gonna use that word on any of these threads again, nor do i use it publicly, just talking with my friends. I just couldnt help myself. But again, i must reiterate. Kanye is a fucking Douschebag. and a sore loser.

Mmm, yeah, it is extremely racist. If somebody's a douchebag, just call them that, no need to drop the n-word. I thought this became faux pas 30 years ago, just like calling someone a ****** or saying something's gay as an insult became such 10 years ago.

This is good news. When good music gets exposure on MTV its a good thing.
altough im not a fan of mtv(Gotta admit im hooked on gay ass sweet 16 reruns) this can only be a good thing for justice, and its glad to see something other then beyonce and fall ouyt boy nominated

sure great for Justice...... at first.
They'll be getting huge exposure and getting paid lots of money (more than most electronic acts at least), but the larger your exposure, the lower your common denominator. There's more pressure to churn out the same boring crap or even do ridiculous collaborations with other pop acts. *coughoakenfoldcough*
MTV will chew them up and spit them out just like they do everyone else.
Just hope Justice doesn't give a fuck about their new fanbase.

Preach it!!
And I wanna know what MTV is going to do to get them to ''perform'' at the awards show. Also the one cool thing about this year is that its at The Pearl Theatre in Vegas. Another thing is that The Palms is closing off certain suites in the hotel to allow performances by other artists not connected to the broadcast, if I read the article on this correctly.

Unfortunatly they will not be playing at the MTV Music awards. I would have loved for them to blow everyone away with some Live Waters of Nazareth or New Jack. =( oh well, at least we will have rihanna and timbaland preforming. i think this will be the first MTV award show I've watched since...lets see......the Music awards in 2000. sheesh
