We will arrive just for Friday evening at 5 pm after things cool off.
If we have our trusty dog with us will we be allowed in the parking lot?

aaawww you're going to leave him in the car?

I have the definitive answer for you:
leave him at home in an air conditioned oasis

i agree, but we're talking one evening for like an hour or two. and she'll have a kiddie pool full of water, open windows and treats galore. i appreciate your critter consciousness, as I'm a dog ma of 8 years and know full well about heatstroke and dehydration.
is there a rule against that at the parking lot tho?

I dont think so, theres no one on the entrance checking what comes in, at least thats what I remember. You should also make him a bed of ice.

I don't know if there is a rule about it but i doubt there would be a problem. My main concern would be does everyone else know the the dog hasn't been there all day in the heat and attempt to free him by busting a window out or something.

leave a note on the window.

no offense, but if i see a dog in a car in a parking lot in anything above 70 degree heat, i would probably bust him out
