I'm looking for somewhere in indio or palm springs that sells vinyl records, particularly new releases.

that would be the Record Alley inside the Westfield Mall in Palm Desert on hwy 111

shop for music at the virgin megatent inside the festival, better selections than anything out here... i think its cheaper too, but you have to lug your shite around all day. oh oops, i just read the vinyl part.. nevermind.

I dont know of any good ones around here, you have to go all the way to San Bernardino or LA...

Virgin Megastore usually sells records at Coachella itself. Will this also be true this year?

The festival record shop is great! They will hold your purchases til the end of the night for free (small charge for multiple days) so you don't have to worry about lps melting. Plus, record store day!

Plus the guys and gals that run the store are friendly and cute. They even endure Stagecoach, which is like a ghost town, as the Stagecoach attendees think vinyl is something you put on your furniture.
