Best way to get to Coachella from Fresno

I'm heading down Friday, is there a route that I can take to avoid LA (i.e., I'd like to avoid taking the 5 to the 10). Thanks!

to go around LA just take the 5 south to the 210 (Pasadena) once you get down from the grapevine, then take the 57 south to the 10 east frwy and you will end up in pomona. I too am coming from fresno, well Hanford to be exact.

I once got punched in the face because I was in Fresno & the fucker didnt like that i was from Coachella valley, so yeah take the 10 to hyw 86 to the border of Mexico
