I want to see Bjork pretty clearly. I don't expect to be in the front row or anything but I was wondering if people that have been there in the past can let me know realistically how long someone should be at the main stage in order to secure a good/decent spot?

Is is it realistic to get to the main stage about an hour before Interpol and use all the time up until Bjork to ease into a decent location?

i would say yes.

alot of people will be leaving after JAMC and again after interpol, the best time to move up obviously would be at the end of these sets. get as close as you can when you first get there, then move forward every chance you get and i would think you should be able to get a decent spot.

You'll get close enough.

Not to be a party pooper on the answer - but I think Friday is the one exception to this - most people will stay through JAMC, and Interpol, and Bjork. Friday's main stage will be a camp out scenario for sure, unlike other days/years. Its most like the Pixies / Radiohead thing in 2004 - no one left then either.

Getting there at the the end of JAMC should be ok though.

Shut it, the question was asked correctly and not in a meathead sort of way. Yeah you should be fine getting an ok spot. I will advise you to have some extra water and to be able to handle the intense crushing that will ensue during Bjork. Rage will have pits, Bjork will have crushing, lets see which will be worse.

From my '02 Bjork experience, I would say get there early (as stated in posts above), but be prepared to hold your ground the 10-15min before she starts. Like the artist, the die-hard Bjork fans are a bit out there. I remember seeing the most wholesome, petite girls prying like madwomen through the crowd to get a closer spot. They weren't very nice about it.
