The Staunton Lick by Lemon Jelly.

The first acoustic lick sounds really familiar to me. I feel like I should know what it is from, and I also feel like it is from a southern rock song, like by .38 Special or something. Does anyone know?

Also, if anyone else has a sample they can't figure out, feel free to inquire.

Lemon Jelly might not be on there but its a pretty good resource. You could just look on the album cover.

Bassline is from Leonard Cohen - Lady Midnight.

Unfortunately there's nothing here:

Probably a "Chicago" song.

Yeah, I checked both of those already. I think i figured it out, though. Its the beginning of Midnight Rider by The Allman Brothers Band.

Yeah that's it.

Pretty standard lick though, the Staunton lick. Probably in a ton of songs.

it's vaguely similar, but it's not a sample. At least if it is it's not from the original Midnight Rider.

Yeah, I know its not a sample. But I didn't know that to begin with, I just had a strong sense that it was from a southern rock song. Lemon Jelly kicks ass, though.
