So I want to set my tent up a certain way. When I'm setting up what landmark or whatever could be a guide point as to EAST.

What time of day are you arriving? Last time I checked - sun rises in the east. Sets in the west. Can't you just look up?

doesnt matter where you put your tent. by 8am, the sun will be so fcking hot, that you wont be able to sleep b/c your face is burning. best bet is to make sure your tent area is well shaded. you gotta bring your own shade, there aint no trees or walls anywhere at the campsite..

GV will announce which direction the sun will rise when the schedule is released. Just be patient.
