The best thing ever is to take warm cornbread, tear it into chunks, and place said chunks into a glass of buttermilk. Or regular milk if you're not a buttermilk fan. Then you eat the chunks out with a spoon, and drink the milk.

Sooo good. My pappaw taught this recipe to me.
