Still can't believe that I couldn't talk anyone else into coming with me....anyone else in the same situation? Should we start a support group for this kind of thing!?

Ah, there are some others...that's reassuring at least.

If you're out there by yourself (and preferably female)...and looking for a drinking/stage hopping buddy...we should chat....

Being alone sucks on a long term basis, but it has its moments.

Stage hopping? Enjoy getting kicked out.

Going to shows alone is a badge of honor for music nerds. of which I'm one.

Amen, Tom. As much as I enjoyed having my girl with me the last 2 years, it will be cool knowing that I will be able to check out every band that I want to see.

This is EXACTLY what I've been thinking... Good ol' fashioned selfish time for me..

While attending concerts with loved ones can be fun, I prefer to go it alone at festivals like Coachella. It can be a real drag when your group of friends all want to see one thing and you want to see something else. Also, you have the added responsibility of keeping track of all the people you came with. Last year, some of my friends wanted to hang out in the beer garden all day. Screw that. I ditched them and did my own thing. Besides, you can always make friends at the show.

yeah, i'm super psyched to just go wherever i please (which i did in years past anyway) and then not have to worry about meeting up with anyone. there are tons of us rolling solo.

Usually I'll start the day with my friends because they're not sure of most bands and are open to suggestion. Ultimately I always go alone. I get to do what I want when I want.
