depends.....how much you eat... what you eat... are you camping? what merch do you usually buy when you go to shows? (multiply that by three)

Plan for 60 a day but plan to spend over. there's a lot of great merchindise, at coachella, including good prices on music, shirts, hats, etc. You'll be buying cold water all day and probably the food vendors 2 or 3 times. Not that expensive but it adds up. I know I spent about 100-150 last year. I ended up buying two shirts and a braclet, as well as some music. Bring enough to give your self some room if you really want something, but too much and you'll blow it all! beware!!! mwahh

My advise; sell everything you own (that includes non-crucial organs). Put everything on one spin of the roulette wheel (go with red). And you won't need to worry about how much money you'll need.:)

I dunno. I just know that all is well and money will not be an issue. (but I'm just lucky like that)

I planned for $100 a day - didn't drink and only bought one shirt - and I had money left over. Plan on $10 for each meal to be safe, plan on at least $10 each day for water-so $40-50 each day just for food/water.

You'll be safe with at least $100 and change left over for the next day or for the trip back home.

I took $300 last year, and I had money left over. I will probably take 400-600 this year, since its 3 days. I didn't buy merch early last year, and the two Madonna shirts I wanted were gone (only xl or xxl, or something). First thing Friday, I am buying the shirts I want.

Money break down.........

$25- food/coffee/water on drive down (4.5-5 hrs w/o traffic)
$40- gas
$15- dinner in Indio -Thurs
$10- breakfast at my special spot in Indio -Fri
$60-? Merch - Fri
$30- food/water/lemonade for Fri
$10- breakfast at my special spot in Indio -Sat
$5-? Ice for drinks ;-), restock snacks, get anything I forgot/lost
$30- food/water/lemonade for Sat
$10- breakfast at my special spot in Indio -Sun
$30- food/water/lemonade for Sun
$10- breakfast at my special spot in Indio -Mon
$30- Gas
$15- food/drinks on the way home
$???? -shopping on the way home

Unless you really cant come up with the $$, I would say take at least $200. If you can't get $200 in cash, get as much as you can and put everything you can put on the credit card ie gas, food if you go out, etc........ Save the cash for inside the venue, atm fees are $5-6 range.

ummmm drink more water, save beer or the alcohol you snuck in for after dark

I think I'll aim for $400 cash for my husband and me. I'm just going to bring that into the festival--anything outside of coachella grounds can be put on my credit or debit card.

edit: whoops just saw Courtney's post--I'll be bringing my credit card in too. Woo woo!

Kind of sort of YES. I am buying for a couple other people too but still. Ipretty much only get Coachella merch and maybe a shirt from 1 artist if I like the design. The Coachella boutique stuff is expensive yo! And I will have plenty of money now with the recycling thing happening. If i am thirsty I'll just find a trash can and grab some bottles and I am good.

How much do shirts cost there?

I don't know how I've managed it but I've blown $700 at the last two & didn't drink any alcohol inside the show.
My tips for saving loot.
Don't drink inside.
By bootleg shirts after the show each night for $10 instead of $35 shirts.
Don't get continually stoned cause the smell of shity carnival food hitting yr sniffer is irresistable to stoners.
Make sure you remember all the essentials yr gonna need inside like sunglasses, hat, sunscreen etc. cause you'll get taxed of course if you buy this stuff inside.
Limit yr shopping expenditures inside the show. Half of that crap can be bought on Ebay usually for less.

I don't think I spent that much...I bought a few water bottles and filled them at the water fountains...I bought a shirt and a poster and I ate one meal inside the venue like $7 for a burger and a soda.

Minus the cheap ass gas, that is how much I will probably end up spending. Unless I go crazy over T-shirts >_<.

If you count, that's 155$ for the whole weekend ;) ... just wouldnt want you to come up short on cash because you forgot to count that 10$ a day on water as 30$ rather than just 10!!!

Ouch. $45? Im betting Im gonna be spending around $200-300 on merch.
Im saving $1000 for this trip. But I am coming down from Vancouver and we are going to Disneyland for one night before the show (the 25th, we will be in Indio on the 26th at the camgrounds for 5).
