OK. I just tried again, & I entered ONLY the required information (*), & it was accepted. If you put the other stuff (name of record store, what you like about Coachella, etc) it doesn't work.

SubBass49
04-04-2007, 07:24 PM
I put in everything except the paragraph about Coachella and it accepted mine...

i just tried and it worked fine for me, can you guys please tell me if you are filling out all the required fields and maybe what browser you use/what version and if mac or pc. also try it again.

i can only fix it if we can either experience what you are or see if its maybe a common browser version issue or something.

I entered everything and this is what I get

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server error '80040e14'

Line 1: Incorrect syntax near 'm'.

/aeg/sub.asp, line 1530.

When I omit the stuff about the record store and the paragraph about coachella it works. I am using Mozilla Firefox version 7.1 (I think) on a PC. I tried it three times and recieved the same error all times

I am using Safari on a Mac and I got the error message. I filled out all of the fields and I have not tried it with only the required information.

If I try it with only the required fields will I get disqualified by entering again later?

Hope this helps PF.

^^ Good question. I entered all the fields, including what could very well be a sample of literary brilliance that would be worth millions when I am a famous author but to no avail:

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server error '80040e14'

Line 1: Incorrect syntax near ')'.

/aeg/sub.asp, line 428

Firefox 2.0.0.3 and windows xp

gaypalmsprings

I still can't get mine to work....I have Firefox on a Mac (I also tried Safari with no luck). I keep getting:

there's definitely a stored procedure asking for parameters that aren't coming from the page

I misspelled something ("taste" as "tase") and went back and corrected it. I think it errored me for going back, deleting something, and re-typing. I haven't tried again yet.

Courtney
04-05-2007, 08:42 AM
Why were you talking about tasting things?

I was gonna put Amoeba as my favorite record store, but then I thought everyone would put Amoeba, so I put Sea Level Records instead. I realize now that that reasoning sucks.

I wrote something like the Coachella promoters have great taste in music. Only I put tase, and I was penalized for trying to correct it!

It worked for me. :]

Used Firefox 1.0.5.11 for PC. I filled in all of the fields.

People still use Firefox 1.0? Wow.

One thing that bothers me is forced upgrades. I'll be sitting there minding my own business and something will pop up about a vital upgrade to 2.0.0.3, and I click later, and instead of asking me if I want it later, it just downloads itself later, and eventually a window pops up saying it has downloaded and I need to restart Firefox. Sigh.

but if we got the error message, we need to do it again, right? Or did it still go through?

YOu can do it again. If it goes through twice, only one will count.

i dont know and it really doesnt matter, an entry is an entry and you only get one. if you enter more than once, the extra ones are automatically deleted.
