Hey there everyone!
We are planning on purchasing tickets for Coachella again this year, and if everyone goes according to plan, we also plan on purchasing a tent camping pass with our tickets. There are 2-3 of us (one is undecided as of now), myself (18), my friend (20) is undecided and my dad who is in his forties. We were curious if anyone would be interested in sharing a camping spot so we can get to more planning! Let me know!

Are you driving or flying in to the area? If you have 2-3 people, there isn't too much extra room to spare. Rent a car and get a car camping. Use your car as a locker.

Hmm, well maybe you should search for someone who needs to park an extra car in car camping and let their vehicle on your spot. Car camping is where it's at. You must have a car in a car camping space, but it doesn't have to belong to you.

yeah tell your dad if he decides to come some random dude from toronto will give him his first coachella beer. I'm totally in favour of parents going to concerts with their kids. I wouldn't trade leonard cohen with my parents for anything.

It's our second Coachella actually, so not his first Coachella beer.
We don't own credit cards (none of us) so we can't get a rental car. :)

And why is that? Credit history and score are so important if you ever want to oh say buy a house, a car, get a loan, and so on. It is possible to be responsible with credit. Charge a few items a month, pay it off immediately. I have flown first class for free several times based on the points accumulated on cards, also been able to use points to get some great products, too. Not to mention being able to rent a car when needed.

I know people who have done all that you have without ever owning a credit card. I also know people who have never gotten loans, flown first class as free upgrades, bought houses and cars without ever owning a credit card. Not against credit cards, I have one. I just think it's pretty cool people can do without one. My limit is only $500 and I stay within my means. I also own a house, a car, and have flown first class a couple of times for free. I have flown free a couple of times based on my aeroplan miles. There's several ways of getting a around booking stuff without a credit card. Alot of people actually use the credit card gift certificate. KennKenna you may want to try that if you really want to rent a car.

Uh, I thought the only way to get passes is online, thus needing a card... unless you are getting them from a scum of the earth scalper or craigslist roulette, which in that case, good luck and hope you don't get scammed?

No borrowing a family friends credit card for that, but we can't bring her cc to California :)

The new TD debit card is also a visa card that just uses your bank account instead of credit.

Smart going from Buffalo. I used to live in St. Catharines and I've flown out of Buffalo many times. Way cheaper. Are you going directly to Palm Springs? Last year we flew into Ontario and drove into Palm Spring. Might fly straight into Palm Springs this year. I was even thinking about flying into Vegas and driving from there and spending a few extra days in Vegas.

So let's get this going again. I'm in Toronto, the 3 people I was going with all "lineup sucks" bailed on me, we bought presale tickets. I'll be in Cali from Apr. 5-17. San Clemente before Coachella. Who wants to let me join their car and camp with them?
