since the coachella player was launched,

Felix the Housecat
(been around for a minute but i just never really listen to him)

and

Silversun Pickups
(seen them open for Elefant last year, ever since then they started getting played on the radio and now are blowing up)

JAMC is another band ive just recently started listening to, if it wasnt for Coachella and all the people posting on how good they are I probaly would of never known of them.

Explosions in the Sky is one I grew to love over the last year or so. Most recently, the new band (to me) that i'm giddy over is TGTBATQ, but I guess that's kinda cheating, so I'll go with Gotan Project. Really though, there are so many that are new to me, it's ridiculous. Liking so many bands on the bill is a curse as much as it is awesome. Conflicts Conflicts Conflicts!

yeah Infected Mushroom for me too, I've heard of them before Coachella, but I forced myself to listen to them and they really grew on me.

Busdriver:
On first listen I thought, "Uh oh, not another guy who sounds like Aesop Rock/Sage Francis/Atmosphere." But, after giving the record (Roadkill Overcoat) a few spins, I realized that Busdriver is definitely doing his own thing.

I second Busdriver for sure. I really got into the new El-P record as well as The Coup. Since I'm Russian, I also totally dug on Gogol Bordello (Ukranian gypsy punk), they're gonna put on a real lively show.

Gogol Bordello is not to be missed. I've seen them 4 or 5 times and they never dissappoint. In Eugene's own words, "We come rough, everytime."

In terms of debut acts, definitely The Kooks, since I have trouble tearing myself away from Inside In/Inside Out, it's just that damn good.

Since I got my tickets for the event, I'd suppose that my favorite acts (that I've discovered) are Faithless, Placebo, Lupe Fiasco, Jarvis Cocker, Tilly and the Wall, Infected Mushroom, Air and Happy Mondays.

I'm STILL trying to figure out EITS, TGTBTQ, !!! and Hot Chip

I got into Air last fall because I knew I liked the sound of a couple of their songs that I'd heard, so I bought a couple full albums. It was just incredible luck that they got booked for Coachella, so now I can see them live when my fever for them is at its highest. I'm also digging Faithless quite a bit.

My favorite new band is The Black Angels....but they are playing Bonnaroo.

Favorite band that I have just become familiar with playing at Coachella would have to be The Black Keys.

Rustin Mann. Yeah, that's a great CD. I regret not trying harder to see them live when they came to the LA area. It's hard driving 7 hours to LA though (from Phoenix).

I really like Cornelius, and I wouldn't have heard him without Coachella, probably.
Also, Justice and Klaxons were introductions that I'm very thankful for.

Someone on this board introduced me to them.
I have always injoyed the drumwork of John Stanier with Helmet and Tomahawk, and really like what he is doing with this group.

^ No doubt. The work of Olaf Oleeson is quite possibly the most underated work of the ninetees.
