I was thinking the other day about the artist that Coachella essentially called for breakout years in 2012 and were a coming out party of sorts; namely Death Grips, Frank Ocean, and Kendrick Lamar. I realize each had exposure before this year especially Kendrick with the Section.80 mix tape and Ocean and DG were not nobodies at the time of their set. But they were massive break outs this year into the indie main stream of consciousness.

This will be an easier task when we have the actual line up but I was wondering (and when we have the line-up) and looking for predictions of can't miss sets from artists who will follow a similar canon in 2013.

So you're asking what bands will have breakout sets in 2013, when we're still in 2012 with no official word on any lineup announcement.

Daft Punk, maybe they will finally become more relevant than Skrillex.

fair enough trolling on me but I did acknowledge it's slightly premature. Kendrick Lamar and Frank Ocean could have been good projections at this time last year with no line up tho. Appreciate such a prestigious title, Neighborhood. And such an equally prestigious picture as well.
