Was...great to see him with Weller on the Outdoor stage at sunset in '09

Would be...even better to see him again solo in 2013

wasn't he playing with a band that didn't come because of the volcano?

There's love for the stuff he did 20-30 years ago....

Has he done stuff that inventive in recent memory?

considering his solo record is complete crap ill only come for the smiths tunes, and even then only if hes not clashing with some 1 better, which in all likelihood he will be. wonder if he'll play with modest mouse

Love the new Johnny Marr record but we need him to get back together with Matt Johnson for a new The The record.

NME Awards:

Finally, Johnny Marr picked up the award for Godlike Genius, accepting the prestigious gong after viewing a video in which Stephen Street, Bernard Sumner, Sandie Shaw, Miles Kane, Suede, Edwyn Collins, Bernard Butler and former Smiths bassist Andy Rourke all paid tribute to his talents. Noel Gallagher also appeared on video to say: "He can't be imitated as a guitarist because he came up with something that was totally unique. He can play those riffs like it's the most natural thing in the world. It is natural to him and that's what separates great people from the rest; Neil Young has got it, Bob Dylan's got it, Keith Richards has got it, Jimmy Page and Paul Weller have got it and Johnny Marr has got it. He doesn't even grimace when he plays guitar, he looks like he's riding a fucking bike."

Morrissey is free and relatively close to Coachella on Sundays the 14th and 21st...and since TRHCPs are not really headlining material...well... You heard it here first!!

Because Morrissey has no desire to re-form The Smiths.

That would give me something to look forward on Sunday.

Marr has also stated, this year, 2013, his non-desire to reform The Smiths.

If this setlist holds strong for his Santa Barbara show with New Order its going to be amazing!! Love his new album!
Wonder how much time he will have at Coachella? Probably half of this set list I think.

http://www.express.co.uk/news/showbiz/371733/Morrissey-refuses-to-reform-The-Smiths-for-2013-Coachella

"In a statement, a spokesman for the star says, "Morrissey has refused a Smiths headline offer for this year's Coachella Festival""

I find the wording of this very curious. Apparently Morrissey's people didn't get the memo about never playing again with the Smiths.

with johnny currently playing "Getting Away With It" in his sets, i wonder if bernard will join him on stage for that at coachella since theyre both on the polo fields

nice that the 3 most important bands to come out of manchester are all represented this year (Stone Roses/Joy Division & The Smiths... oh manchester so much to answer for)

The main reason I'll try to see him will be an Electronic reunion (for a song or two ... or three).
