They are now reunited and doing sold out shows of 75,000 plus in England. Will the stars align for a STONE ROSES headliner for Coachella 2013? We say YES! STONE ROSES 2013. The time has come!

But who will be the first to argue about weather or not they should headline?

They can't headline.

If they actually play.... they will be a headliner. That you can bet on.

I think their egos would demand a higher spot than that. If they play I would expect them to be no worse than 6th or 7th on their day.

Wherever Blur was in 03.

Animal Collective '11 slot if anyone asked me.
I'll be disappointed if they aren't finally on the lineup. This is supposed to happen.

Stone Roses wont be second with all the other potential twos out there like Atoms For Peace, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Vampire Weekend Blur and whatever shitty EDM closer they book.

Why is it automatically assumed that he YYYs can basically vanish for 3 years and then suddenly they are a sub? Saw them twice in 2009 but think they've lost a bit of momentum.

Has there been any Blur rumors beyond a vague Damon quote a couple months back about hoping to get the back to the US in the spring?

3rd row at best.

Perhaps the most influential UK acts of the last 25 years with the classic lineup making their stateside debut.

Not headline but i think it's on par or a bit bigger than Pulp. Not headliner but evening mainstage.

It worked for Interpol in 2007.

Bumblebee, the Roses are to Pulp what LA Galaxy are to Indio High Under 14s.

You're right about evening mainstage though

Had to look it up but it appears that was Interpol's first big gig in 2.5 years and first place to hear new material released July 2007.

YYYs have been virtually gone 3 years, have a bunch of international 2013 tour dates before Coachella roles around. Plus YYYs played a lowkey California within the past year or so.

Like the Strokes IMO Interpol were more influential as a studio act than the YYYs.

I think their egos would demand a higher spot than that.

As per Coachella tradition, there should be several shitty Britrockers in the lineup whose egos far outpace their abilities.

If they actually play.... they will be a headliner. That you can bet on.

Can I be your bookie?

Sad state of affairs across the pond if true.

Jay-Z and Dre/Snoop both delivered in spades.

Kanye could certainly be an honorary Gallagher brother though.

Totally agree on that. I was pretty much saying the same thing a couple of years ago when I found out Keanen West or whatever that clowns name is, was on the Main stage. That took the cake for absurdity!
