WGRZ sees and raises...

Buffalo NBC Station Uses Photos of Singer Seal to Report on Actor Michael Clarke Duncan's Death (http://deadspin.com/5940163/buffalo-nbc-station-uses-photos-of-singer-seal-to-report-on-actor-michael-clarke-duncans-death) (Link to video)

Actor Michael Clarke Duncan died Monday from complications of a heart attack, and his death was reported in the A block of most East Coast 11pm newscasts.

Buffalo NBC affiliate WGRZ, however, ran into some problems. Clearly confusing Duncan with singer (and estranged Klum husband) Seal, the station ran photos of the latter from Getty Images during the report. Maybe Getty has their images mislabeled, we don't know. But WGRZ ran multiple Seal photos, meaning something got screwed up very badly. Remember, WGRZ: Seal is known for the song "Crazy," while Michael Clarke Duncan played the criminal madman Kingpin in those Marvel Comics movies and wasn't technically "crazy."

I was gonna say, Michael Clarke Duncan looks nothing like Tommy Lister (who was also awesome in both The Fifth Element and The Dark Knight).

Maybe he thought being a vegetarian meant only eating animals who didn't eat other animals.

I've always been partial to his turn as Zeus in the Hulk Hogan vehicle No Holds Barred.

I know plenty of really unhealthy vegetarians that eat nothing but pizza and french fries.

I do truly enjoy shitty Hulk Hogan movies, such as Suburban Commando. I must now see this one.

No Holds Barred is an actual pro wrestling movie, and it is amazing.

Is it now customary to post photos of other actors who appeared in movies with the people for whom we're having a tribute?

How the fuck do you claim to enjoy shitty Hulk Hogan movies, and you've never seen No Holds Barred? You are truly an enigma. "I'm a fan of Al Pacino's work in movies like Any Given Sunday and Frankie & Johnny, maybe I need to check out this movie The Godfather he was in in his early days."

I also like that Vince McMahon decided it would be a good idea to parlay that box-office hit into giving Mr. Lister a run as a "real" professional wrestler.

Hahahaha. Tallguy and I were talking about this the other week.
