2009.
2011.
2013?

i don't see why not, their performance Sunday night in 2011 remains the best closing set i've ever seen. they destroyed for 35 minutes.

their new album pacifica, drops on september 7th and is being led with two new singles:

ghosts
LDbV1y5iaE8

youth in trouble
59VaXUt-yMg

sort of a new sound for them in both tracks (i get serious early underworld vibes from 'youth in trouble') but i'm loving them both. they're commencing a short U.S. tour this fall which leaves them enough time to go elsewhere around the world and come back in the spring. despite being a 3rd festival appearance in just 5 years, their past performances speak so highly there's no reason they wouldn't level the grounds again.

I've sort of been assuming this is a done deal. This is a band that GV likely has a good relationship with, has a new album, has KILLED it both times they've been at the festival, and that they have stuck against the biggest headliner twice (if they had a more highlighted spot before maybe I'd feel otherwise). I think it will happen.

I think the new album is really good. If they're on the lineup next year they'll be one of the best performances of the weekend.

i really dig the new album, but it's obviously not the superbanger that is apocalypso.

New album is a grower, not a shower. Give it some time. 'Fall' is a pretty solid track.
