Although I wasn't one of the lucky peeps to see fogerty join the Black Keys during weekend 2, I was part of his crowd @ outside lands 2011 and I'm soooo ashamed to say I was beyond hammered the entire time.. I know I rocked it out (or so I'm told) but I would LOVE a 2nd chance to properly jam to one of my idols.... bring him to Coachella 2013!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Pretty pleeeease)

CCR was awesome in its day but Fogerty is a Vegas lounge act any more.

it makes perfect sense. fogerty is nothing like he was when ccr was big. it's been 40 years. how is this difficult to understand?

I support this. He would be great in The Specials- Jimmy Cliff main stage slot.

Yeah but Fogerty still tours and doesn't just play casinos. Elton John plays a Vegas residency and yet some people want him to headline.

Yeah because Willie Nelson opens for Las Vegas lounge acts.

If kenny Aronoff is the drummer I'll be as far away as possible. If it's someone else I'll be right into it.

I know 8 years is a lot when people start aging in dog years but this is a great version, Orlando from the same tour is about the best version ever.

This guy has still got it. Anyone claiming otherwise, either never liked CCR or they are talking out of their ass.

I said it because it makes perfect sense to me. Dude comes out, hams it up to the crowd, sings the hits and nothing but the hits, plays singalong games with the crowd, smiles all the time, every offhand remark calculated, every step rehearsed. Setlist optimized to maximize profits; there is nothing ventured, nothing new, nothing interesting. Just some very slick performances of once-great songs.

Every fucking thing the guy has touched was a hit....so it might be hard to play anything else. How is this okay with other great musicians, but not Fogerty? He has been trying to profit from his own work for how long? The rights of his own work stripped from him.

These classic hits are still great songs, they will always be great songs.....so where is the problem? We all want to see him play our favorite songs. He plays them perfectly, with energy and love. What more do you want from the guy?

Innovation and new songs? At a festival of people that want to hear the classic hits? I think thEre is a reason he is a legend and still doing it. You are an old hag complaining on a message board. Over critical POS. take a nap and drink some prune juice.

Fogerty is a great show and everybody should see it.......once.

The structure of the show could fit in a Vegas show. He's done some things like the idol finale duet that I kinda cringe. When I saw him he did a Eddie Van Halen finger tapping guitar solo bit that was funny....a quarter century ago.

The catalogue he wrote in a 2 year stretch is 100 times stronger that the work he did in the 4 decades plus that followed.
