Thanks for the memories, but you've officially jumped the shark. I'm sure there are tons of people who had an amazing time, but I wasn't one of them. It's been real.

The party is now at DEMF.

Does this mean you'll stop posting here? That's worth the price increase alone.

What the fuck does a dance music festival have to do with Coachella?

I think it's cute that you think coachella is the end all be all of music festivals.

Wha?

Edit: Find one post where I have said anything remotely close to your statement.

In a couple years ill probably abandon Coachella for another festival, just to see what else is out there, but for now they still have my patronage. I was about to get upset at the price hike until I rememberedhow much i wouldve been willing to spend at the prospect of almost not getting a direct ticket last time.

has nobody else read the part where the price increase isn't actually an increase, just some long-overdue honesty about service charges?

If you set aside $3 a month then maybe it'd let some of you rest easier over this dramatic price increase.

So does the $349 include shipping within the US?

Thanks! I actually pride myself on my ability to "clarify" details. Some people just assume things and are later surprised and I don't like that so I ask questions to make sure! Believe it or not this has actually been a handy trick in my life. Thanks again!

Are you suggesting it's the same price as last year? It's a $30 increase. I don't think that's a huge deal, but try to be accurate.
ACTUALLY ITS $13 increase.

yeah i've had a number of people try to tell me that it's fee disclosure, but do that many people not remember what they paid before?

$310 last year inc fees. (inaccurate) $349 this year, no fees. We are all winnarz!

If I recall correctly, presale and onsale prices turned out to not be the same last year once orders were processed; I'd have to compare my presale tickets with the receipt of my friend who had to buy onsale (without shuttle) to be certain. Either way both are an increase, the presale price being the $39 or so jump that people seem to be referencing, the onsale difference is less of a gap if memory serves.

2013 is the last consecutive one for sure for me; then it's all based on lineups, but i will be doing presale every year...god dammit.

Every transaction made between my checking account and Front Gate totaled up to $320. It's a $30 increase.

presale was a bit cheaper than the regular on sale in january, the regular on sale was $336. but thanks for contributing so late in the game after it's all been figured out.

Comparing pre-sale with pre-sale seems reasonable to me. We don't know what passes - if there are any left - will cost in January (or whenever).

Yeah comparing presale to last year's normal ticket sales isn't really fair. If they keep the price the same for the regular sale period (assuming there are passes left) then, yeah, it's a $13 difference. I personally don't mind it and I was kind of expecting it. I get the gripes people are making and they are fair, but the increase isn't putting a big dent in my pocket and this festival keeps delivering for me so I am more than willing to shell out extra $30 or so.
