I just got my ticket for Fri & Sat today. How exciting! Wow, a little bogged down trying to get acquainted with a lot of bands who have new albums or some I haven't heard of before...ever... My thoughts so far for Friday:

Bjork - I'm not a HUGE fan but still feel the experience will be good
Silversun Pickups - really like them
Peaches - fun, I'd like to narrow down my playlist for her, a lot to weed thru
Interpol - need to hear more, only have a few songs on my ipod

Saturday is much easier. Top picks so far are LCD Soundsystem, Arcade Fire, Kings of Leon, Regina Spektor. Others: PB&J, Hot Chip, Decemberists, the Frames. Need to check out MSTRKRFT based on what I have read on this board. Didn't immediately warm up to Jack's Mannequin, Blonde Redhead, Fountains of Wayne, Sparklehorse, Travis, among a few others

I'm going to work on my ipod tomorrow and try to get as much play time in before Coachella as possible. Actually knowing the music really enhances the experience - derr...

If you have any strong feelings about bands, albums, songs I should add to my ipod tomorrow, please respond and let me know why. I already have on my list to add LCD and Arcade Fire's new ones. Also, need to add MSTRKFT.

If you don't agree with my music taste, that's OK. If we all liked the same music, it would be a very boring world, wouldn't it?

Thanks - I can't hang for 3 days partying in the heat and sleeping in an RV. I had to narrow it down to 2 days.

I'll check out Justice tomorrow.

Umm Sonic Youth? Thats like a no brainer. Amy Winehouse is a must also, she put out a really solid album. Jarvis Cocker too. A little hip hop is in order with El-P so try and find stuff from him too. And Of Montreal also you need to check out. I would say Circa Survive also if you wanted something a little harder per say. They will add more to Friday so dont worry a few more options will pop up soon. The one song you need to listen from Peaches is F**k The Pain Away.

You need to check out Jarvis Cocker, Of Montreal, Sonic Youth, New Pornographers, Justice

And give Blonde Redhead another chance. The upcoming album 23 is ace. As are many of their older songs (the ones where Kazu sings, especially).

I have to say i'm not a huge rage fan but i'm excited to see them sunday!
I love the fri and sun line-up. I don't care much for RHCP so sat will be my laid back day. So you in the beer garden!

Yea, maybe I'm delusional, but I like Blonde Redhead enough that I am seeing them earlier in the week and again at Coachella (and considered a third show that week). I've seen them many times and they've never disappointing.

Get there early on Friday to catch Busdriver and especially Evil Nine (I love their video for "Crooked"). "Tent in your Pants" is my fave Peaches track.

Try to see everybody on Saturday, that is all.
