View Full Version : CMB's "50 Acts That Haven't Played Coachella But Absolutely Should" ROUND 2

captncrzy
05-04-2012, 01:54 PM
From the top 75 acts from round 1, pick 10 acts that are an absolute Coachella-must for you. Not who you think "deserves" to, or who you think "should". Ones that would make you say "SHIT YEAH!!! FINALLY!!!" and then run around your apartment excitedly planning which drugs you're going to take when they take the stage.

You will be limited to 10, and you should only be able to vote once.

Go. (http://freeonlinesurveys.com/app/showpoll.asp?sid=t4bbschnmncrazu52515&qid=52515)

I imagine you could see the Offspring at the Morongo Casino.

I voted for Offspring in the last round -- high school nostalgia act for me & they never come anywhere nearby -- but no fucking way would they make my top 10 on this list. Would probably land somewhere in the 20s or 30s.

Strangely enough I see a breakdown for a music video today - The Offspring are trying to make a come back....

It's "Boredoms". Not "Boredomes".

I copied it from some other asshole that misspelled it, and I don't care enough to change it now.

Jesus, that is an awful fucking list. I take it by your lack of knowledge regarding IDM, we won't be getting an "electronic version"?

round 2. blame the voting from round 1 if you don't like it.

I'm sticking with Soundgarden. Though the chances of them playing now seem slim

And Led Zeppelin, not Led Zepplin.

What happened to In Living Color? I was hoping to reunite Keenan Ivory Wayans, Damon Wayans, David Alan Grier, and Jim Carrey.

I didn't make the list Ryan

Can't help but notice that being actually a possibility did not enter into the list creation... Guess I should have paid attention in round 1. At least there are no dead people on the list, as far as I know.

I'm pretty pleased Ween made the list. Talk about attracting a strange crowd, all of which would be doing the "Elaine Dance"! It would be a requirement in fact.

One of my favorite concerts ever was Ween at the SB Bowl.

Of the acts that I voted for, I'd probably flip the most for Tom Waits, Nick Cave or Boredoms.

But Joanna Newsom and Husker Du really should be the choices. And that Smashing Pumpkins warning isn't really apt, considering the fact that the Replacements will never get back together with the original lineup, and that Television's OG lineup is retired (which pretty much means Television is retired as well.)

Voted for Zombies but they still have zero percent

The Offspring?

The offspring were the first real "alternative" band I ever got into in 6th grade. Ive seen them a bunch since. I'd be totally down for them to make a trip out to the desert. I'm not the biggest fan of their new stuff, but the Smash / Ixnay on the Hombre stuff I think would kill in a festival setting.

The lack of activity on this poll shows that people were voting multiple times on the previous poll. Which has exasperated this current poll.

ok, they kinda look old, and dexter got fat. he also sounds like shit. apparently he had a fever while performing though. last i saw them was 3 or 4 years ago, he sill could sing.

that being said this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mbOphAmCCTA) video is pretty depressing. also less than half of their set list is from the first three albums. :(

I would absolutely lose it if The Beach Boys played. I know they're old as dirt and Brian is a zombie now, but that music defines my childhood.

I guess the percentages are misleading. One thing about the last poll that I liked was that you could see the total votes.
