Your review is garbage.

Heh, I use that term because the genre isn't very clearly defined. Here in LA they call it the beat scene for artists like Fly Lo, Gaslamp Killer, Tokimonsta, Nosaj Thing etc. So I based it off of that :winkiss

I love how the review says Dragonette's appearance at Martin Solveig "surprised everyone". Dragonette had her own set earlier in the day. Why wouldn't she show up for that song?

how you gon' show an avicii picture at the beginning and a tupac hologram at the end? these acts largely conflicted and even if you managed to see a little of both, why should i listen to your opinion on a half-set?

indie beats is not a genre that exists.

approximately 30-40% of your posts are tag links. stop fucking name dropping and start learning how to write a goddamn sentence that doesn't contain a proper noun.

Continuing, things got very modern rave.

English isn't your first language or you didn't pay much attention in English class.

At the modern rave they spun indie beats?

This just seems like a review of the Sahara, and the few times you ventured out to hear some "Indie Beats" (?) Thats 3 minutes of my life I'll never get back, asshole

Anyway, just for the hell of it I will try and provide some constructive feedback. The problem I had with the review is it is bland, if you were trying to tell me Coachella was amazing and great, then you created the opposite. Your review is more a list. "I saw..... then I saw .....". The fact you concentrate on EDM and little else, means you are missing the diversity of music Coachella offers and therefore failed.

In short, there is very little heart and soul in the review. It feels as if there was nothing else at Coachella other than you and a list of EDM acts. You need to personify what you felt, how the crowds reacted, what you saw and heard. Also, you have to be a little more critical in your reviews, it felt more like a fluff piece. You wrote about Tupac and 'future implications'-what do you mean? Is it good or bad?

There you go for starters.

Also don't write like a dickwad. You are quite fond of empty hyperbole and it makes you sound like a stupid oaf. Which you probably are since all you do is go to the Sahara.

RE-title the thing to "My review of EDM at Coachella 2012" and people will lower their expectations accordingly.

Psssshaw, Tom. Critical writing can and is routinely done in regards to EDM music. I mean, clearly not by this writer and most certainly the EDM in the Sahara doesn't deserve to be treated with any sort of dignity, but still.

Thanks. Well, I really enjoyed Explosions In The Sky, Radiohead, The Rapture, and a few others. However, we're an electronic music focused blog (for now at least) I made sure to see and mention more of the best DJ performances. You're right that I could have elaborated more on how hologram technology can add a new level of production to music festivals. And perhaps I should have described more the mood and reactions of the crowds.

Or just describe the music and productions experienced in each performance, maybe even look up setlist or recordings of the show to jog your memory so you can explain what songs sounded better mixed live or fell flat for example. Did any special guest come out? Try to avoid the phrase "melted my face".

Fair enough you want to concentrate on EDM, so why not title your review 'My EDM Coachella Highlights'? Something that hooks the reader. Remember, if you review something you will have a mix of people, some will not be well acquainted with the subject, others will be very familiar.

Yeah I can agree with that.
