What do you mean the plane? Does that figure into the proposal somehow?

Look how surprised the man in the beanie is. The plane had a sign on the back that says "Will you marry me?", right?

ha. No set up here. i was getting off the ferris wheel and this happened right at that moment. They drew a big crowd and chants of "beso, beso..."

You would think the proposal at sunset was cool enough, but a plane flew over with the text under the belly "Will You Marry Me...." i had a wide lens on, so there was no zooming in on that. i'll post my crappy attempt later.

Someone got married in the shrine?! Sweet! That would be like my dream wedding. Go to the courthouse - fuck fancy and have a ceremony in the Coachella shrine. Dope.

I saw some people get engaged during Radiohead too and I shouted FUCK YOU at them.

Just because you're not happy doesn't mean you have to go out of your way to ruin someone else's moment.

Drug-induced proposals. It's like the exact opposite of what happened with Roger and Jane on Mad Men this past weekend.

Some friends of mine were on shrooms in Hawaii when they got engaged and they've been happily married for 4 years and have 2 kids now.

They didn't actually get married, or are actually engaged yet. Sort of a play-wedding, commitment ceremony thing, I guess?

Sounds really cheesy, but the guy is a pretty cool cat, so he gets a pass (knew him from last year).

Well, you shouldn't wonder why none of your relationships ever work out. You never come across as the least bit likeable.

Whatever, the people were at least 500 ft away from me. I doubt they heard.

Public proposals are lame. It's like people do it to justify that they actually care for the person. If you cared so much, wouldn't you want to make it a private,' intimate moment?

Let those people decide what they deem to be a proper proposal for the person they care about. You worry about why you are such a self-centered, miserable, attention-whore and why you have such a hard time finding a decent male because of it.

And I mean this in the nicest possible way Kat. Stop being so self-loathing and, yet, judgmental at the same time.

Well said! I think it is sweet. Maybe they met at Coachella, or they have gone together for years and years. Either way if it makes them happy that is what is important!

That's the question I have, too! Everyone looks so blissful and genuinely happy or in awe of the moment. That is really all kinds of sweet. Congrats to this couple, whoever they may be.

A large number appeared to know the couple. The crowd got bigger and bigger (including me) when the initial cheers went up. Even though it was my day with no official picture responsibilities, i had to bring the nice camera on the ferris wheel. When we got off, i heard cheers that were solid and happy, ran towards it, slid on the ground and started clicking
