i'm sure seeing rage with wu tang would be sick, but we get to see them first!! something to be said for that. and the crowd will definitely be much, much better at coachella then in manhattan. i went to lollapalooza last year and couldn't stand the crowd. i love coachella people.

I got tickets for both... but I'd much rather go to Coachella.. It has a better line-up all together and is at a waaaaaaaay sicker venue.. seriously to whoever made this thread.. have you been to the polo fields?

Even when I was in college, I made sure I had money for Coachella...and I was usually broke as fuck.

1. I only bought new clothes & shoes when the old ones compleely wore out.

2. I ate at home as often as possible.

3. I didn't have a cell phone.

4. I didn't subscribe to magazines.

5. I spent as little money as possible every day.

i will be very happilly attending all 3 days of coachella and the rock the bells in sf. i live in LA, but i can't stand the national orange show.

i look forward to both festivals for their different attributes.

coachella: a destination, an oasis of good music and positive vibe from a toxic world and noise of the mainstream. generally friendly people, more eclectic, artistic and musical range

rock the bells: a confrontation with structure ( on a friggin' parking lot) andn power (ratm, PE etc...) overly aggressive and quality hip hop, counting on more grit and "hardness" which i also like, friendly, in a sense the crowd all digs the music, but probably won't hug or high 5...but i'm going to the sf show, so bay area niceties might prevail

i love cali....

San Bernardino is disgusting. I think the hotels there make ALL their money during these concerts. I think I paid $140 for one night during Nocturnal Wonderland. (I guess that pales in comparison to Indio/Palm Springs rate for coach though)
