Because of my site (http://www.coachellarecordings.com), KCRW called me up and asked if I would do an interview about Coachella for their show. It was really cool, asked me a bunch of questions about the history and vibe of the festival. Anyway, they are supposed to air the interview tomorrow night he said (4/12), and then posted online after that. So if interested, tune in :) Once I have links and stuff, I'll update it. I hope I don't come off sounding like a moron on there haha...it was my first radio interview ever!

Link to interview (skip to 20 min mark): http://www.kcrw.com/media-player/mediaPlayer2.html?type=audio&id=ww120412usc_mourns_two_chine

Nope....I guess on their "Which Way LA?" show? But no idea what time that airs, or what segment during that show (first 15 mins, last 15 mins etc) it would be on either....im just gonna wait for the online link in another day or so.

Crap. I'm on break in class. I jump in the car and hear your amazing voice, then I find out it's the mayor of Indio. I stop and go inside a Starbucks. There is no one in line, they make my coffee, I jump back in the car, and I hear you say thank you and whoever is interviewing you say thank you, then announce your name.

I'm sure it'll be downloadable/streamable off the KCRW site shortly.

It's archived - http://www.kcrw.com/media-player/mediaPlayer2.html?type=audio&id=ww120412usc_mourns_two_chine

You can start the program ("Which Way LA") and then advance to the Coachella part at about 13:00 (also marked on the player) Looks like they interview mayor of Indio, Erik, and Ben Harper.

edit: Erik, you sounded great. Like a pro.

I can't find it. The link above goes to a news story about murders. Can you post a more exact link? Thanks! I want to hear Erik!

That's the right link - the murder story is just the first feature. Let the initial announcement play through, and then when the murder story starts you can advance the media player slidey thing. If you look just above the slider bar you will see the brackets for Coachella (and last story is something about Iran.) Just advance the slider to the Coachella mark.

edit: First several minutes is the mayor - Erik is about the 20 minute mark.

Bump...

did another interview today for a local station (some bits might make it on air, and there will be an article written up about it - don't know all the info yet)...but gave the raw interview today for a little over an hour and recorded it...talked about the board, my site, and of course anything and everything related to Coachella...some of you might find it quite informative...so if you have an hour to kill and need some background noise, give it a listen!
