Faithless announce US and European dates
They'll open for Bjork at Coachella

Faithless have announced a handful of US and European dates this spring.

In addition to playing at California's Coachella Festival on April 27 where they're scheduled in the Sahara tent just before headliner Bjork, the dance veterans will also play gigs at New York's Webster Hall and San Francisco's legendary Fillmore Auditorium.

The duo are also set to play several dates in Europe next month, starting of in Paris on April 8 and wrapping up in Rotterdam on April 18, before they head Stateside.

This is going to suck..I don't think the Sahara Tent will hold Bjork fans..

I actually read that - as Faithless' time slot is right before Bjork, and Faithless are in the Sahara - that doesn't mean Bjork is.

In fact if they are doing more staggering - then Faithless in the Sahara and Bjork on the main - makes perfect sense.

This is weird, who's gonna headline the Main Stage: Interpol, JAMC??

Couldn't this mean she'll play in the Main Stage, just after Faithless in Sahara?

Still quite a few bands to be added to friday, going by sat. and sun. havin a lot more.Might be another headliner,or big artist to be added, maybe!
NME`s usually spot on with there info, all the UK newspapers normally print(steal)stuff days after nme has it,quoted word for word

Yeah, they just posted the fake poster/lineup last year that was created on this board. Top notch sources.

i know that it would really suck for crazy bjork fans, but what is wrong with her being in the sahara?
madonna showed last year that the boundaries fot that tent are broadening and that could include an electronic beat-driven act like bjork.
i agree with the staggering idea, but i'm just saying...

I think the wording on this article is a little off. I am excited that in some sense they won't be overlapping. I took it the same as C Dub here. That Faithless will be starting 7:30-8:30ish in the Sahara and then Bjork will be starting 9:00-10:00 ish on the mainstage.

I can't see Bjork in the Sahara.

Mainstage will be JAMC -> Interpol -> Bjork
Sahara will be _______-> Faithless -> ________

My main prediction for scheduling based on this is that Interpol and Faithless will be up against eachother...If that's the case I am going to be running from Faithless to Bjork to grab a somewhat decent spot.

I think everyone is reading it wrong. Yeah Faithless in the Sahara, we got that one. But they are to perform before Bjork. Which means they will have a time slot in Sahara before Bjork on the Main. Thats what will happen. I think we all just take little bits and pieces of those couple of sentences and scramble them around to make a bunch of theories when there is nothing to worry about.

they're in england. they know stuff before we do cuz it's eight hours ahead there.

Yes and they could have insider info on certain artists per say and when they might be playing. So them saying before Bjork gives us a good range of time to speculate when they go on.

god, why couldnt Interpol and Arcade Fire switch days...I really don't wanna deal with the main stage on Sat night but I guess I have no choice.

Wait, this just means that the Sahara tent ends sooner, and then Bjork is closing the Main Stage. If I were to speculate, then Arctic Monkeys would be closing the Outdoor Theater at the same time, but nobody would be at the Sahara tent. They rarely have all three of these stages closing at the same time.
