"The Arcade Fire have cancelled 9 dates on their current European Tour. Win Butler has been fighting a sinus infection since the beginning of this year and has simply been unable to get back to full health. With the constant demands on his voice from touring it has reached the stage today where he simply cannot sing.

The shows are the final nine of the sold out European tour. The cancelled shows are

Mar 24 Oslo, Sentrum Scene
Mar 25 Copenhagen, KB Halle
Mar 27 Berlin, Postbanhof
Mar 28 Munich, Elser Halle
Mar 31 Lyon, Transbordeur
Apr 1 Cologne, Palladium
Apr 2 Utrecht, Vredenburg
Apr 4 Brussels, Halles de Schaerbeek
Apr 5 Lille, L'Aeronef

Ticket holders should get in touch with the promoter directly regarding refunds. Due to future touring plans, it is unlikely that these shows will be rescheduled until later this year. "

Okay, this might be an evil, hater kind of thought... but would anyone else on the board get a real hardon if Rage cancelled all of a sudden? Paging Dr. Schadenfreude.

I would, but only if they cancelled prior to Coachella, not like during coachella. Shit could get ugly real quick if they cancelled day of.

I would be thinking "Well there goes that, I guess I can watch a lot of other bands now. And thank God I got Rock The Bells tickets"

I would be hella pissed. The line up is amazing and there are a ton of artists I cant wait to check out. But Rage Against The Machine is what sealed the deal for me. And you better believe if they cancelled during Coachella, there would be a riot. When Axel Rose and The Guns & Roses cancelled thier show in Vancouver a couple years ago, there was a huge riot! And it wasnt even the actual Guns n Roses. So, if Rage cancelled... I dont even wanna think about it.

If there was a riot, I would go next to the Tessla Coil for safety. And take LOTS of video.

Sinus infections are the worst. I get them 3-4 times a year on average and am completely miserable for 1-2 weeks, with another week of tolerable coughing and stuffiness. With a few weeks of bedrest and antibiotics he should be fine.
