So I'm not coming until Friday morning and I've kinda already accepted the fact that we're gonna be in line for hours and probably won't get the best car camping spot. I've looked at the map/forum and I know that the other lots are farther and stuff but by experience are they really THAT terrible? I don't really care about walking the extra distance, but what are the other downsides?

I stayed in Lot 5 and it wasn't any better or worse than the other lots.

Well it's definitely more walking. Your back is gonna be in enormous pain by Sunday night. But you wouldn't want it any other way!

Bring a bike!! I usually bring two. I keep them chained up when they're not in use.

^^ What wstsidela said. If you have a bike it really does not matter what lot because really it is just the walk that is a deterrent. Otherwise it is all the same pretty much!

I think I was in lot 10. The walk was longer but good people and fun times. You'll have a blast...no matter wot

Does walking several miles a day for three days hurt your back Monday? You should see a doctor

At Lollapalooza, it's a mile between main stages, and the walk to and from your hotel. If you can't take the walk back to the campground, you probably shouldn't be camping!

There are no other downsides, everything is within walking distance no matter where you are. You'll have a good time if you don't let the small stuff get to you.

Last two years I was in Lot 10 & the two years before that Lot 8. Every year has been a full of new & memorable experiences. Be friendly to your neighbors & have the time of your life!
