Besides the fb thing, why register?

Anyone think it's worth it just in case something happens to your wristband?

Ok...I haven't had time to read all the materials but help me understand: Do I HAVE to register the wristband(s)? I may be selling some or all of mine and I get the feeling from what I've briefly read that once you register a wristband it must be used by YOU. So I shouldn't register the wristband until I'm 100% sure I'm going, correct? And is there a deadline to register by?

You don't have to. But there will be wristband scanning stations near all the stages. If you connect your wristband with Facebook and then scan it at a station. It will probably say something like, Person X is at Outdoor Theater. Basically Facebook is tracking your every Coachella movement. Sometimes cell reception is wonky I've had trouble getting/sending texts so FB is also another way to track where your friends may be at.

So if you register your wristband using the RFID serial number and it allows you to register it. Does this mean it's a legit wrisband?

No, its fake. You wasted lots of money by having Coachella sell you a fake wristband themselves.

go to coachella.com look on the right side of the page. It says ''log in/register'' you need to click there and you will get to where you need to go.

The RFID question is actually legit. Some people had to purchase through 3rd parties, and it would be good to know that if we register a wristband, its not deactivated. Considering the amount of people who buy passes just for opportunity to scalp, its fair to think that Coachella would help provide its users with a way to verify that a wristband they are walking in with isn't deactivated or fake.

I've been to coachella 7 times now, and am a loyal fan alwyas bringing tons of new people in. It really worries me that just because I had to trade weekend 2 wristbands for weekend 1, that I might end up with a fake wristband and stuck at the gates. If anyone (cough *dani* ) has any info on if registration might let us know if a wristband is deactivated, or if it prevents it from being deactivated, or any method for making sure you have a legit wristband, it would help so many people. You can't expect that your coachella loyal fans won't be trading wristbands, buying one for their friend, or anything like that.

You can only register one wristband per account. If you can't register i would call frontgate and let them know. It might mean its deactivated. So they can send you a new one/pick a new one up at will call. If you bought it from a 3rd party i would be a little freaked out that it isn't activating.

So I understand that it's one wristband per account...but what if you are going both weekends? I would love to register my Week 2 wristband but can't find a way to.
