Okay, this thread is for those of us who aren't going to be brining 13 coolers, pots, pans, raw meat, plates, stoves, cutlery, salt, Bobby Flay, charcoal, etc to Coachella.

So here's what we're going to do. Let's make a list of some decent meals that we can enjoy at Coachella this year with minimal time/money/effort invested into bringing extra stuff. Pots, pans, barbecues, stoves, and anything of that like are not permitted in any of the meal ideas in here. Can openers, coolers, and minimal use of cutlery will be permitted.

Necessities:
Cooler - To cool shit
Mayo packets - Mayo makes everything better, and you don't have to refrigerate individual packets.
Knife - To spread your delicious mayo
Bread - Because bread
Beer - Always beer

Peanut Butter Sandwich: Peanut butter + Bread (Jelly optional)
Need a knife to spread stuff on the bread.
Remember not to bring glass containers.

Tuna Sandwich: Tuna + Mayo + Bread + Salt/Pepper
Dress it up with more stuff if you feel like being fancy.
Requires a can opener, unless you get the kind that comes in a packet.

Deli Meat Sandwich: Deli meat + Bread + Whatever
Just throw a pack of deli meat in the cooler.
Salami doesn't even need to be refrigerated.
Use entire packs at once so your meat does get cooler water-y and your cooler water doesn't get meat-y.

Fruit: Fruit + Mouth
Vitamins and carbs, your mother would be proud.
Fruit can make a decent energizing breakfast.
Remember to wash your fruit ahead of time.

Sealed Veggie Tray: Veggies + Tray
Buy one of these prepared from whatever corporate food warehouse you live by.
Throw it in your cooler and enjoy some cold veggies with dip in 100 degree Coachella weather.
A bag of carrots isn't a bad idea either.

Lunchables: Lunch + Ability
Just keep them in a cooler.
If you don't enjoy these, you have no soul.

I'll keep adding more ideas as I think of them. Feel free to contribute.

Egg Salad Sandwiches:
Bring already prepped egg salad.
Bring white/wheat bread.
Spread.
Enjoy.
This was a good one for us last year.
Please remember to brush your teeth after this and the tuna sandwich. At minimum, bring gum.

That's unfair to say, you're a woman, making a sandwich is instinct for you.

Not sure what you expected. It's called minimalist meals. Do you have better ideas for food that can be prepped with no cooking or tons of ingredients? Please post.

I would have never thought to bring bread had a thread not been started suggesting that bread is a food item that should be brought if one does not plan on cooking fancy meals. I support this necessary and useful bread thread.

Cup O' Noodles for dinner. Oatmeal and french press coffee for breakfast. All you need is a camp stove, a pot and some water.

EDIT: Disregard. Although 1 pot and 1 campstove is minimal as fuck.

Glad we could help Guedita.
String cheese IS actually a good idea I didn't think of last year. Protein and easy. Maybe the thread should be re-named "Mini meals" or "Snack ideas for people too lazy to cook"?

No glass. Do they come in plastic? De-can that?

Very true. Think I might stick with the string cheese. You can have my share ;-)

Wait, that came out wrong. By "my share" I mean you can have the gentlmen all to yourself. Not that *I* have any semen. As a lady, this would be wierd.

I heard this as well. Anyone wanna check this theory?

On another note, why not pre-ready any buritto you want (carne, chicken, whatevs), place in the cooler, take to the polo fields, then eat whenever you want.

Last year we ate very minimal, sandwiches, fruit (pineapple and watermelon smoke outs, good times) and Nutella/rasberry jam sandwiches on hawaiian sweet rolls. It was cheap enough to have a meal or two inside, but I had zero energy Sunday, so I guess that's the catch.
