Okay, this thread is for those of us who aren't going to be brining 13 coolers, pots, pans, raw meat, plates, stoves, cutlery, salt, Bobby Flay, charcoal, etc to Coachella.
So here's what we're going to do. Let's make a list of some decent meals that we can enjoy at Coachella this year with minimal time/money/effort invested into bringing extra stuff. Pots, pans, barbecues, stoves, and anything of that like are not permitted in any of the meal ideas in here. Can openers, coolers, and minimal use of cutlery will be permitted.
Necessities:
Cooler - To cool shit
Mayo packets - Mayo makes everything better, and you don't have to refrigerate individual packets.
Knife - To spread your delicious mayo
Bread - Because bread
Beer - Always beer
Peanut Butter Sandwich: Peanut butter + Bread (Jelly optional)
Need a knife to spread stuff on the bread.
Remember not to bring glass containers.
Tuna Sandwich: Tuna + Mayo + Bread + Salt/Pepper
Dress it up with more stuff if you feel like being fancy.
Requires a can opener, unless you get the kind that comes in a packet.
Deli Meat Sandwich: Deli meat + Bread + Whatever
Just throw a pack of deli meat in the cooler.
Salami doesn't even need to be refrigerated.
Use entire packs at once so your meat does get cooler water-y and your cooler water doesn't get meat-y.
Fruit: Fruit + Mouth
Vitamins and carbs, your mother would be proud.
Fruit can make a decent energizing breakfast.
Remember to wash your fruit ahead of time.
Sealed Veggie Tray: Veggies + Tray
Buy one of these prepared from whatever corporate food warehouse you live by.
Throw it in your cooler and enjoy some cold veggies with dip in 100 degree Coachella weather.
A bag of carrots isn't a bad idea either.
Lunchables: Lunch + Ability
Just keep them in a cooler.
If you don't enjoy these, you have no soul.
I'll keep adding more ideas as I think of them. Feel free to contribute.
