How is that going to be scanned with the barcode blacked out like that?

You should call TM CS about that.

Did you buy the presale ducatking ones? Just curious. I already have mine from Ticketmaster direct.

codytwo
03-20-2007, 12:13 PM
Yeah, I did, Amy. What's weird is that one of the tickets costs a dollar more..... Also, my Sasquatch tickets came and I just realized that Grant County gets 6 dollars for every ticket sold. They must be raking in the dough.

Oh Lordy lord.

Are you following me around to every festival I'm going to?

Geez.

I thought the tickets were supposed to come a couple weeks before Coachella, but it looks like a couple weeks are 5 weeks. It's just interesting to me. Don't worry about it.

i got the ones that you print out. whats the big deal about getting tickets anyways.its always like 15-20 bucks more on ticketmaster getting the real tickets sent to you

Having a ticket stub is cool. Having printed tickets isn't.

DeltaSigChi4
03-20-2007, 02:27 PM
Why do you people blur out the bar code?

You're afraid someone to going to print a screenshot and get that scanned in.

HAHAHHAHAHHA.

actually, it's not too terribly difficult to recreate the ticketmaster barcodes...

SojuGorae
03-20-2007, 02:34 PM
Too bad it was too late. I already made high quality print outs of the two that had the bar code showing. Guess you're not going on Saturday and Sunday. *struts

E

For realz? How'd you do it? I blurred out the barcodes before posting it.

You got sum' mad skillz'

instinct
03-20-2007, 02:44 PM
Yea, I wouldn't post the barcode either.. I thought some people on ebay that were selling tickets were kind of retarded for doing that..

I got mine in the mail yesterday as well.. Kind of weird that they aren't stapled together.. I kind of wish they were.. but I guess I can do that myself..

Actually it's free via regular mail. It costs extra to print them out at home.

I think that for the presale, the only choice was FedEx.

cody, the guy specifically said "ticketmaster" in his quote, which is why i was letting people know that "ticketmaster" doesnt charge that. Here is his quote

The Duckit presale was via duckat or however they spell it and they may only offer fed ex, but alas, we digress.

ok the fed ex guy came by yesterday while i was at work, and now he came a minute before i got out of the shower, so if i miss him tomorrow the tickets will be sent back.
I pray to god i don't miss him tomorrow, well there goes my whole day.

Wait, if you miss him, won't you just have to go pick the envelope up from some central FedEx holding facility? That would be really dumb if they sent it back.

i've never understood why ticketmaster does this.

printing out at home costs TM nothing yet they charge for it, whereas sending the tickets in the mail entails printing actual tickets and postage yet TM doesn't charge for this.

i guess i would make completely random rules too if i owned a monopoly.

I don't get it either. Anyone know why?

codytwo
03-20-2007, 06:09 PM
Printed tickets are easy to forge. Forged tickets mean someone else didn't get in when they should have. Ticketmaster has to pay those people. At elast, that would make sense.

I was thinking that same thing. That 2.50 or however much it is it ass-covering insurance.

printed tickets are just gay. and if you choose that method, it makes you gay too. get your tickets mailed to you and contribute to making this world a better place.

and i would also guess that all the support they have to provide for all the bullshit that goes along with people printing out their own costs more than the standard tickets in the mail. this includes everything from dealing with fraud to dealing with people too retarded to figure out how to print them in the first place.

codytwo
03-20-2007, 06:29 PM
Also, Ticketmaster has been printing physical tickets and mailing them out for so long and for so many things, with the infrastructure they have it probably costs less for them to do it themselves than for you to do it. Actually, it definitely does, since they charge you more.

I got mine yesterday as well. I called them a couple of weeks ago to once again confirm my sale and check on the credit card used. They told me they were going out the 3rd or 4th week this month.

Just curious... why on the presale tickets were the Sunday show (the day Rage is playing) $1 more than Friday and Saturday?
Was there an actual reason?

codytwo
03-20-2007, 10:40 PM
It probably has something to do with not wanting to divide by three and end up with a third of a dollar or something.
