Etta James left us with so much good music. I love this woman and will miss her.

Did anyone here have the pleasure of seeing her perform live?

Saw her a couple times in New Orleans. She was magnificent.

I have just become an Etta James fan in the past year or so. My god that woman could sing. RIP

The exclamation mark, exclamation point, bang, or dembanger is a punctuation mark usually used after an interjection or exclamation to indicate strong feelings or high volume (shouting), and often marks the end of a sentence. Example: “Watch out!” The character is encoded in Unicode as U+0021 ! exclamation point (33decimal). This punctuation mark is called, in the newspaper world, "a screamer, a gasper, [or] a startler".[1]

coupled with the :'( at the opening of the title should have indicated some context.

This however is the most interesting thing that this thread has brought up for me...

It is sometimes called a "dog's cock" by typesetters.[2]

that's the feeling I got too.

I seem to have willed my mind to not register emoticons any more.
