Very happy the Horrors are at Coachella. They did an amazing show at the El Rey some months back. the lead singer looks like a tall Julian Casablancas.

One of my favorite albums last year. I went to the Detroit Bar show and I will be back for more.

Loved seeing these guys open for the Kills a few years ago. Their album last year was one of my favorites. Would love to see them on the Outdoor, but I think they're going to land in the Mojave.

I'm late to the party with this band, but looking forward to seeing them.

I'm a little iffy about seeing them this year. Their prevoius Coachella set ('09?) was lackluster at best. Singer even said between songs that they'd rather be over at (forgot which band) who was playing at the same time. Maybe they're just not outdoor festival material. Saw them at a club months later and they fuckin killed it.

I'm psyched about seeing them. Their albums are so sick.

They were upset about playing during My Bloody Valentine.

You're right. Couldn't remember to save the life of me. I was so disappointed. They were my must see act that year and they ended up sucking balls.

They were dicks. Moped around and berated the audience for being there.

I would have seen the Horors in 09 if not for the conflict with My Bloody Valentine.

Really looking forward to their set. Primary Colours is such a great album.

On the other hand they worship MBV so i can kind of understand. But I guess it's unprofessional.

Dude, did you start a thread for every band you want to see at Coachella this year?

I agree with the earlier post that The Horrors are a much better band in a dark club then at a sunny festival. That being said I'll probably still be catching their set.

Listening to my new Coachella playlist I've formed and the Horrors song "Wild Eyed" came up. It sounds really good, curious to listen to more of them as they come up on shuffle.

The board was not up for a few days, so I wanted to start threads for a bunch of good bands to stimulate discussion. I would not have needed to do that if the board was up the day the lineup was announced.

lol I think you and I have a similar taste in music. I've been wanting to see the Horrors for a couple of years now. They're getting a lot love in the UK all of a sudden.

Kinda more like Psychedelic Furs in my opinion, but I like The Horrors better.

All of a sudden? They're from the UK. All 3 of their albums have been Top 40 on the UK charts. They've always had love there.

I watched part of their set and they were being arses so back to MBV for awhile they refused to play some of the best stuff off their first album so I gave up on them.

Kinda more like Psychedelic Furs in my opinion, but I like The Horrors better.

To me, it reminds me of the sound that the Church and Catherine Wheel have.

I really like these guys on record. They were dull as hell the last time they played Coachella, though. That turned out to be for all the best, because I left their set half way through and wandered over to that jaw-dropper of a set from MBV.

Have they gotten better since?

Saw them a couple times in 2009 and they were a bit on the dull side and completely forgettable.

Simple Minds? The Horrosrs make way more sophisicated music than Simple Minds.

We did the same.

Saw them after Coachella with the Kills (music box I think) and it was a really fun show.

Each album has gotten better, which I think is a hell of a feat. Skying was my 2nd favorite album last year. Drove down to see them in Tucson last September. They were fantastic. Since I've already seen them recently, there are a few bands that might trump my seeing them again. The Outdoor just after dark would be cool.

Are they that big? I don't see them being outside a tent... at night understandably

Did no one else see this set? They played to a less than half empty Gobi and were fucking awesome. Definitely one of my favorites of the weekend. Still Life and Moving Further Away were the highlights.

I was in that tiny crowd and yes it was awesome! Was planning to watch half this set and then half Amon Tobin's, but stayed for the whole thing because The Horrors were fucking great!

I agonized between this and Amon up until 5 minutes of a crowded view at Amon.
I missed my favorite song "Changing the Rain" but got to see everything else, great set!!

My girlfriend and I fell asleep by the soundboards during the Black Angels waiting for this set (weekend 1) and when we woke up, we, regretfully, walked back to our camp to sleep (to be fair, I had been dealing with nausea since late in the night before and all day Friday). I wished I had not missed this or Madness.

I was there and was thoroughly enjoying myself but they were having terrible sound issues on weekend 1. Bass was waaaay too much and the vocals got lost. Can't remember how many times the singer went over to the sound guy to complain about something and the keyboardist was constantly having to do the same. Stayed the entire set and had a blast regardless.
