It would be awesome if he had the P.O.S. slot from 2010. He was the first act of any Coachella for me, in a shaded tent. It was really special.

I feel like none of this year's rappers (with the obvious headliner exception) belong on the main stage. Maybe Childish Gambino could work. A$AP, Kendrick, and Company Flow absolutely need to be tent acts.

Nardwuar returned from SXSW and just started posting some of his freshly edited interviews including Lamar. You may remember Nardwuar's interview with Odd Futre last year and all his other rapper interviews.

At 7:20 or so it includes a "hip hop sightseeing tour" flyer which I found a stack of 20 of them at an LA hostel and gave them to him when I returned up to Vancouver. It's as ridiculous as it sounds.

Nardwuar annoys me but he did his homework, Great interview.

and lol at the hip hop sightseeing tour, I can't imagine anyone paying money to do so. I live 5 minutes away from the Watts towers and I've never seen that flyer/people sightseeing around here lol.

On another note, I think this confirms no Schoolboy Q with Kendrick at Coachella :(

"This guy Kendrick Lamar is really incredible. Can't wait to have him at Soundset this year. I'm not the first or last to say this, but he's the brightest light in his generation of artists. If you haven't heard his free project Section 80, I'd highly suggest it. The story about him seeing Pac and Dre as a kid is the shit."

Schoolboy showed up to the Danny Brown show last month to literally smoke a blunt onstage for about 30 seconds. I'd be shocked if he didn't show up to support his Black Hippy brethren (wouldn't surprise me if Ab Soul & Jay Rock showed up too). Really hoping he pops up with A$AP as well though. Their two tracks are fire.

Someone already posted Schoolboy Q's schedule, he'll be performing elsewhere during Coachella so unfortunately it looks like he won't make it. He's gonna do mostly Section.80 and Jay Rock isn't on the album but Ab Soul could make an appearance though.

Also, "The Recipe" is just OK. I'm a huge Kendrick Lamar fan, the beat is pretty dec but the verses and overall concept of the song are not amongst Kendrick's best.

Schoolboy's tour doesn't start until 4/20, so he could be there Weekend 1. And if he doesn't come, Ab Soul's probably not either, as he's opening for Schoolboy.

My bad I'm going to weekend 2 so I forgot, you're right good chance he's at weekend 1 considering he has two songs with ASAP Rocky too. I don't think Ab-Soul is likely but you never know. I went to a Kendrick show in LA and he didn't bring anyone else from Black Hippy. He basically did "Michael Jordan" and maybe one other song from OD and then like 8 songs from Section 80.

On topic: look at this HILARIOUS review from NME about the Kendrick album.

http://www.nme.com/reviews/kendrick-lamar/13799

Californian rapper Kendrick Lamar has bagged guest spots from his mentor, Dr Dre, and his former collaborator, Drake, for his major-label debut. But like the cover art – which shows baby Lamar on the knees of his gangster uncle in Compton – ‘Good Kid, MAAd City’ is a record more about homeboys than celebrity friends. ‘Compton’ with Dre is all hometown swagger, while ‘The Recipe’ (available on the deluxe edition) is a stoner tribute to the West Coast . It might lack the raw appeal of Kendrick’s 2011 mixtape ‘Section.80’, but it’s a big-budget reminder that the 25-year-old hasn’t forgotten his roots. 6/10

Possibly the absolute worst review I've ever read. Yes; that is the whole thing.

But both Q and DB need to show up for Coachella...

you'll get another chance.

and WHAT THE FUCK was the deal with the early set times last night SMH. grabbed something to eat before the show and check twitter to find pictures of Q performing at 8:15...he was the main reason I wanted to go too. VERY glad he came out for Brand New Guy.

Kendrick Lamar is still so fresh to the game, this dude has two releases and everyone is calling him 2pac and the best thing out the west in over a decade....fuck that noise.

Kendrick Lamar is dope, but he hasn't really proven he can stick around just yet,

That whole night was a shitshow. I show up to HoB at 7:45 only to wait in line for like 20-25 minutes around the block... Miss all of Danny and almost all of Schoolboy. They were my main reason for going as well.

It's nice to have another west coast rapper try to put us back on the map. I love the shoutouts he gives to older West Coast artists "Bump that new E-40 after school, Ya know Big Ballin With My Homies" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xBq-H6pOHAE&feature=player_embedded

Kendrick Lamar was pretty dope. His fucking DJ sucked, he kept playing that same annoying DJ siren ever couple of verses "de de deeeghh"

Just saw his performance on SNL, and instead of having a crap DJ, he had a live band! Poetic Justice sounded nice, added a nice sax in there.
Hope he keeps it that way while he tours GKMC

That being said, very bummed out that he won't be at Coachella this year :(
I think the crowd would've been waaaay more into it
And this would be amazing
