I personally think their first album "Echoes" is their best

Echoes is their best. I think they've passed their prime at this point.

i think their sound has completely evolved and matured.... cant say much for this past tour, but when i caught them at FYF last year it was one of the best sets of the day. Deff not past their prime.

"Echoes" is by far their best album. "Pieces of the People We Love" has some fun songs on it. The new one didn't grab my attention much.

Been listening to The Rapture for awhile. And I was wondering how their albums/live shows would sound without Matt Safer in the band. And not bad. Their new album is a grower. How Deep Is Your Love? is good.

PS. So glad the promoters touring them here in Aus have put on a Rapture and Azari & III sideshow on in March. Takes away one potential clash!

Not enough people talking about this set on here. I know they were just through LA, but these guys always kill it. Barring conflicts I'll definitely be there dancing.

As much I love the Rapture i have a really strong feeling they're going to be competing with some really great bands that I'll have to see over them.

I'm surprised more people aren't fans of the new album I enjoyed it a lot though I agree "Echoes" is their best. This song should be fun live.

Super Awesome for sure! We flew down from WA to Pomona to see them last October and it was a great set even though some underage punks got in a fight during House of Jealous Lovers! First and only fight during a Rapture show!

OK so saw The Rapture last night and it they were awesome.
Played a lot of stuff from their older albums which was great. Checked them out in the hope of avoiding a clash but will definitely be seeing them again. Have some footage from my iPhone which I will upload.

BTW their site has a couple signed pomona posters for sale still... I had to get one.
It took me a couple listens to get into the new album but now I really love it and keep puting it back in my player... The it is definitely a lot different than the previous two butI can feel the progressions they've made even after Matt Safer left....
Good luck with Tix to The Hive/The Rapture w/ Housse De Racket! Wanna See you There!

I just discovered them when the lineup was released, but I'm getting really excited to see them. My imaginary Friday evening schedule involves seeing the Rapture, M83 and Pulp in a row (not necessarily in that order). We'll see if that happens that way...

I missed them in 07, one of my few Coachella regrets. I am obsessed with the new album. Not missing these guys again.

The guys voice is really front and center on the new songs. I liked Echoes and parts of Pieces..., but I can't get through a single song on the new album. His voice srsly drives me away.

Had bad heat stroke in 2007 so I listened with my eyes closed, lying in the grass next to the tent (you could do that, back then). Can't wait to actually watch this time!

Love the raw, unpolished sound of their first EP. I've never seen them live (hopefully won't conflict with anybody so I'll catch them this time) so I don't know how likely they are to play anything off it but this is a great track.
