So I'm normally a pretty optimistic guy and view life through a "glass half full not half empty" viewpoint. That said I was confused with the amount of fights I saw around the polo fields in 2011. In 2010 it was so much more peaceful, even though it was more packed.

Anyone else notices these fights? Ive been to other concerts that are free that have big "mainstream" acts and I see lots of fighting at those fests too. I'm probably just crazy, but wanted to see what others thought.

I didn't see too many fights, but also my eyes were practically closed shut because they bruised up so bad after Tommy punched me in the face during Brandt Brauer Frick.

You should; he's a huge System of a Down fan so you have a conversation starter right there.

I saw zero fights, but I did hear stories from campers about how shitty their neighbors were.

girls on E attempting to fight right outside of the sahara was pretty amusing. one eventually just fell over and started laughing/crying.

That wasn't Tommy. You're just schizophrenic.

I've been going since 99 and I have yet to see any fights. However I do remember someone posting a video of chicks fighting in the Sahara.

You're right, this was during Steve Aoki:

^^^ The best part (aside from the red shorts), is the ONE guy at 0:25-0:35 who is paying attention to whoever is on stage.

Ahahaha! I like how it looks like the same girl moshing in the pit, just in different sizes and proportions. I'm going dressed as the big girl in the red pants next year!

Thursday night my neighbors decided to bump Black Eyed Peas and dance on the top of their car until thre in the morning. There's not much more soul crushing than a group of drunken women shouting the lyrics to "My Humps".

^ Classic.

By fights I mean people arguing. Verbal confrontations and spats.

^ I saw none of that either. Then again I was in tent camping last year. Car campers, what say ye? See any verbal confrontations and spats?

Not really seen any fights, but I usually stray away from the beer gardens in the evening.

Saw one kid come out of the dfa 1979 crowd all bloodied up, but that's to be expected I suppose. Lots of people wanted to take pictures with him. Other than that the crowd seemed very peaceful.

Hmm. Never seen a fight at Coachella. Seen a few beligerant bros arguing with security in and around the beer gardens a few times though. Also had some meat heads talk some shit to me one time but they were just being dbags. I just ignored them and carried on with the fun.

I am usually having way to much fun and dont pay attention, so I would probably miss a fight even if it was in my vicinity.

Yes, but we were considerate and kept our Pow-Wow inside the teepee that morning. ;)-

2010 was the only time in my 7 or 8 Coachellas that I've seen anybody arguing/pushing. Some drunk teenagers even attempted to pick a fight with my friends and I outside the beer gardens. We laughed in their faces and waved over a uniformed officer and told him these kids were drunk, trying to pick a fight, and were clearly underage. We continued laughing in their crying faces while the cop led them out in zipcuffs. Coachella's not the place to fight, people.

Exceedingly differentiating amount of bros in contrast to 2010. Don't get in the way of a bro and his shuffle at chromeo/kanye/skrillex/excision
