Holy carp, that's 10 of them! That's enough for their own tent. So any ideas how it's going to go down? Like, is there going to be one long scheduling block scheduled for them in a tent or are they individually performing throughout the day? On-stage while roadies are setting up between bands? I love comedy and these are funny people, so I'd love to check this out. Guess we won't know until the end of April, but I'm curious. Interesting news, thanks for the heads up.

Holy Carp indeed!
Perhaps they will form one giant comedy team and do some crazy improv mixed with stand up?
No. No that would bring the tent down haha.
To be honest, the only one Ive ever heard of is Patton Oswalt.
Im surprised no one has commented on how David Cross is missing from the list though.

I'm thinking we're going to see a comedy tent, like at Bonnaroo. Although, I don't know why they'd restrict it to one day. I know at Bonnaroo, everyone does 4 or 5 sets spread out over the whole festival.

I don't really know anyone below Blane Capatch, except Hard & Phirm.

Cross has never toured with them. I think he showed up at a show, once.

People kept pointing to that SXSW Festival party around as evidence. But that wasn't a Comedians Of Comedy show.

I guess I wouldn't have been surprised if he was on the list, but I'm definately not surprised he's not.

Perhaps this is a reason that Friday has less acts than the other days? Standup sets don't go as long as band sets and there's no set-up, but 10 comedians are going to give us 3-5 hours worth of stage time.

I'm thinking it could be like this. I remember at the first Coachella, they had DJs playing music in between sets. Very, very interesting.

I'm guessing there will be a small tent reserved for comedy only, and that each comedian will do 2 sets, a daytime set and a night set.

At Bonnaroo, they have a stand-up comedy tent with a whole lineup of comedians performing all 4 days, Most of them doing multiple sets. Bonnaroo's comedy tent is basically run just like a comedy club... they have rows of chairs and clear the tent after each performance before they let in the next group of fans, who line up outside the tent.

I can't wait to see what Zach Galifinakis will do at Coachella. He might just convince one of the musical artists to perform with him. He often does his routine accompanied by some random musician

And Hard-N-Phirm will be cool too. Their Radiohead medley (called Rodeohead) was hilarious

I for one am stoked that Coachella is adding comedy to the festival. It will go over well, I'm sure. Maybe next year they'll have comedy all 3 days

I keep thinking they are going to make the Dome (the one that premiered last year)bigger this year and put the comedians in there. I think it would work.

They had DJs and performance art in there both days last year.

Maybe they can re use the poster for the Stagecoach the following week! :)

Whatever happens it's going to be great having comedy at Coachella...I won't have to look around for overly wasted people running amok for my comedic interludes this year!

haha I thought Comedians of Comedy was a band that I never heard of...o shit. How would this work though? I go to music festivals to see music...dunno about comedians. Andy Dick should perform since he apparently got arrested at Coachella for smoking pot.

it should be between sets, that way the wait seems shorter for the next band.

Here's hoping for a meet & greet/autograph session, I wouldn't mind having Brian Posehn sign my Tab t-shirt.

Carlos Mencia rivals Larry the Cable guy for worst comedian on the planet right now.

Zack Galifiniakis, on the other hand, is awesome. I cant wait to see his act.
