So I get home from work, and I'm trying to wind down and go to sleep and I decide to watch The Beatles rooftop concert, something I've seen snippets of,and even seen Beatlemania and U2 rip-off,but never actually watched all the way thru, start to finish. It starts off kinda weak, with an
extremely shaky "Get Back" and then "Don't Let Me Down" which would be ok,if it weren't for the shots of Yoko, and then the forgettable "I've Got A Feeling" followed by a nostalgic "One After 909" and then...
True genius."Dig A Pony" with John singing.Lifts the whole thing from novelty to a clear indication of why they were the Fucking Beatles.Better than anything I've heard in a long time.
And then, inexplicably, they perform "Get Back" again and John says at the end,"I'd like to say,on behalf of the group, have we passed the audition?"
I miss John Lennon,for everything.
