The Official I Miss John Lennon Thread

So I get home from work,and I'm trying to wind down and go to sleep and I decide to watch The Beatles rooftop concert,something I've seen snippets of,and even seen Beatlemania and U2 rip-off,but never actually watched all the way thru,start to finish.It starts off kinda weak,with an
extremely shaky "Get Back" and then "Don't Let Me Down" which would be ok,if it weren't for the shots of Yoko,and then the forgettable "I've Got A Feeling" followed by a nostalgic "One After 909" and then...

True genius."Dig A Pony" with John singing.Lifts the whole thing from novelty to a clear indication of why they were the Fucking Beatles.Better than anything I've heard in a long time.
And then,inexplicably,they perform "Get Back" again and John says at the end,"I'd like to say,on behalf of the group,have we passed the audition?"
I miss John Lennon,for everything.

I watched that John Lennon doc a few weeks ago and thought it sucked but it was cool to see so much footage and interviews with John I hadn't seen before. The man was passionate, always spoke his mind and never backed down. Even when he was being followed and intimidated by the U.S government for his ties with the anti-war movement.

His music wasn't bad either.

God, I love John's music I remember the first time I really listened to Imagine I was around 11 and my grandma just died. I pretty much grew up listening to The Beatles. I wish we had more people like him making popular music these days. I was talking to my friends dad and he busted out a box of all their vinyl's. We just sat there and listened to every album. God I wish John was still alive just think about what he would have to say about the world today. R.I.P. John Lennon
